I believe that everyone has good expectations for their future life. What does your ideal life look like? What efforts have you made to achieve it?

Since childhood, we have been instilled by our parents to live a standard life: study hard and get into the ideal university; after graduation, find a stable job; when we have a successful career, we should start thinking about getting married and having children ...... Eventually, we find that the life we are living now is not what we once dreamed of. It turns out that we have been living in the expectations of others.

In the book, the author says, "We spend our lives trying to get rid of other people's expectations and find our true selves." Knowing what kind of life you want and moving forward is the ideal life.

Two years ago, a female secondary school teacher submitted her resignation letter, in which she said: "The world is so big, I want to see it." Although her life was not as exciting as we thought, she bravely took the step to change, not bound by the expectations of others and the standard of living in the eyes of the secular world. Now, she has met her significant other on her journey. They are married, have children, run an inn together, and are living their ideal life.

We always worry that going against our parents' wishes or other people's expectations will hurt them, but we don't realize that there is no standard answer in life, nor can we use the same standard to measure everyone. Each person's life is his or her own. Only by living the way he wants and realizing the value of his life is the best reward for love.

Life is just a few decades, no one wants to go to the end of life and regret not having lived the life they wanted.

Change doesn't require us to change everything we have, but to perceive more possibilities in life. If we don't try, we will never know. We can be a better version of ourselves. True growth is when we can be better than our past selves.

People are reluctant to change because they are afraid of the unknown. Because change can go in two different directions, one for the better and one for the worse. Many times we cannot predict what the outcome of the change will be. In this case, it is not easy to give up the comfortable life now and pursue a nebulous goal and persevere until success.

When Steve Jobs and Bill Gates gave up their enviable college lives and chose to start their businesses, what would the future hold? They don't know either. But they were willing to give up the standard life in the eyes of others to try and explore the unknown. It has been proved that they fully know themselves and know where their talents are, so they chose the right direction of development and eventually all created miracles in their careers.

In the face of unknown changes, instead of tangled hesitation, we should be brave enough to change. What can stop us from moving forward is often something we don't know.

We all like to hide in our comfort zone instead of learning and challenging new things. Whether it's for wealth, status, freedom, or to experience more possibilities in life, the only way to see beyond the world is to break out of your comfort zone. The truly strong and wise must find ways to turn the unknown into the known and keep expanding their comfort zone. Wherever they are, they can develop their new comfort zone and their lives will become more and more exciting and rewarding.

Being alive, for each of us, means facing change, and change begins with the unknown. No matter what happens, no matter how it ends, we have to face and accept our imperfections. The cost of obsessing and procrastinating is much higher than the cost of taking action. Instead of needlessly wasting your energy and strength, you should choose and try.

In this noisy and impatient society, the only way to gain inner peace is to face the entanglement, listen to the true voice of your heart, and obey it, so that you can experience the joy of unity of mind and body.

On the way to achieving our dreams, we will always suffer blows, ridicule, even sarcasm, and threats, and our beliefs will always be denied by the world. Faced with the negativity of others, do we become angry, frustrated, escape, or choose to face it positively?

When the Post-Impressionist master Van Gogh insisted on creating, everyone thought he was a strange man, silent and unsociable. His works also differed from the mainstream style, but he knew himself fully and recognized himself. He did not easily deny himself and choose to give up because of others' incomprehension.

On the road, we will meet too many people, and facing the negativity of others, and resentment will only end up hurting us. So, there is no need to live in the eyes of others. As long as we know what kind of life we want, we always stick to our beliefs and approach our dreams step by step, we will never have to please those who do not understand us.

This world is very complicated, everyone just stands in their perspective and does not have to care too much about the views of others. Pride and saving face will only stop us from moving forward. The more resilient we make our hearts, the bigger the blow will be. When our ability becomes strong enough, we will not rely on self-esteem to brush up on our existence.

Jack Ma's initial entrepreneurial journey was full of hardships. He was rejected again and again, and his failures stayed with him. But he put down his box and stuck to his beliefs, finally making people all over the world remember him.

Life should be dominated by yourself, let go of useless pride, and don't always live in the expectations of others. However, the standard life in the eyes of others, accepting ourselves, and identifying ourselves is the first step to our growth.
