There is a thin margin between truth and lies. It is simply a game of transformation of sentences — from positive to negative and vice versa. Lies are kissable to all, high-low, rich-poor, weak-strong, ugly-fair, public- government. It is prejudiced to none like a professional harlot.

The great and noble history of BS

It seems to be a naked lie that lies were untouchables in the remote past. There are invented history based on preferential lies to suit the contemporary needs or fear of a kick on the ass of the historian or the wish of a whimsical sovereign ruler. Homer’s Troy, Continent Atlantis, the origin of Egyptian pyramids, Biblical myths, Hindu mythology, epic Mahabharata, and Ramayana are all invented histories with bonafide intentions to create our strong base in the past. Though these historical fabrications are indigestible lies but keep virtue within the belly may cause constipation too.

From Ramapithecus to Denisova hominins, Neanderthals and Homo Sapiens, humans have saved themselves or unsaved others from time to time on the crutch of pure lies naked or clothed. We find some unreliable authoritative references that lies were clothed even then when man was unclothed wandering in the birth suit. Therefore, the civilization of lies is far, far greater than human clothed civilization.

Hypocrisy, the love child of lies

In this modern world of priorities, all the countries are exchanging lies bigger or smaller. Sooner or later, in keeping their transactional, hypocritical ties with other countries and all-mighty nations nurtured the tremendous global village council the United Nations Pvt. Ltd. Its name itself a shameful lie. There is no unity among member nations. Deadly enemies like the US-China, Palestine-Israel, Iran-America, India-Pakistan, Iran-Iraq, North-South Korea are the UN members. Even a man in the captivity of dementia finds it hard to trust the solidarity of the United Nations Company under the control of significant investors in the Security Council.

Elite institutions of lying

Governments and political parties are recognized elite institutions of lying. Governments release tastefully cooked statistical data of various operations and estimation based on the randomly collected information. Manifestoes of the political parties before the election are a bundle of seasonal lies. If a particular party comes to power, then it is a bounden duty to discard its manifesto into a garbage bin placed in an electric crematorium. The public is too busy eating bread and chicken soup to secure a copy of the manifesto.

A media house not getting sufficient government ads and support publishes ruling party manifesto to claim its position as the fourth pillar of Democracy. These days media is doing roaring business by converting stinking lies into fragrant truth. Three cheers. Media is really great in harnessing reality into lies and vice versa.

Practice of lying — a part of family breeding

We teach telling lies to our children as a part of family breeding. Dad tells John, “Inform the visitor, Dad is sleeping.” Parents unconsciously give the lessons of lying as to prepare them for High School Graduation.” My daughter tells lies a lot these days,” Lilly said to the counsellor. God knows who taught her? These children are the generation in waiting. Do you have still any doubt in the bright future of lying?

Lies of courtesies and greetings are ceremoniously accepted and officially approved. “How are you? ‘Fine’ is the response in all situations, even if you are starving or on the verge of divorce. “It was quite exciting to being with you.” Though it was pretty irritating. Almost all the religious scriptures justify the lies spoken to save the life of someone. I hear a common proverb in India that lies are no more lies if told in love, business and war. What a hypocrisy, it steals my virgin heart. We all say fair trade, fair war — no torture of weak and helpless, and truthful loving ties. We never use discouraging words for others in society. “How do you find my writing?’ “It is great”. Though he thought it a boring time-waster.

Polygraph machine fails.

The natural liars are so tuned and skilled that polygraph machine cannot stand a second before them. They have unwavering faith whatever they speak is the only truth. Therefore they do not show any bodily or emotional change while lying.

Always lie to your boss

It was Sunday. I was going to meet my friend who came from Moscow after two years. I saw my subordinate Vikram standing at the bus stop. I stopped my car and signaled him to come. He said that he was waiting for the bus for Blunt Square. I opened the door. He sat beside me. To break the silence, I told him that I was going to Liberty Cross on an official appointment. He was going to meet his elder brother. On Blunt Square red light, he requested me to drop him near a supermarket. As he opened the door to get down, a young lady standing there greeted him and sweetly complained that he was late again.

Beautiful wisdom lies in telling lies and expecting others to speak the truth. Long live our rotten ideals and contaminated courtesies!
