Van Diesel Turned Reality a Boy Fantasy Battling with Leukemia

Vin Diesel just turned a young fan's fantasy into reality!

The 56-year-old actor graced FuelFest at Irwindale Speedway in Los Angeles on Saturday, June 1, where he encountered 4-year-old Colton Pursglove, who is currently in remission from leukemia.

"Colton was ecstatic and couldn’t believe he met his real-life hero," expressed the child’s mother, Jordan Pursglove, in a statement shared.

In November, Jordan had posted a picture of her son dressed as Diesel's iconic character, Dom Toretto, from the Fast & Furious series on Instagram.

"When your 4-year-old watches Fast & Furious movies on repeat and believes he looks just like Dom, you have to dress him up as his favorite movie character!" she wrote.

The grand racing event, which will tour the United States and Tokyo this summer, drew 15,000 attendees, as stated in a press release.

FuelFest is co-founded by Cody Walker, brother of the late Fast & Furious actor Paul Walker, and Chris Lee.

According to the FuelFest website, the event showcases "top modified, exotic, performance-built, and rare cars from around the globe," complemented by live drifting and drag racing shows.

Reach Out WorldWide, a nonprofit established by Paul Walker that mobilizes first responders and experts to disaster zones, serves as the event's official sponsor.

Paul Walker, who tragically passed away in 2013, founded the organization following the 2010 Haiti earthquake, which claimed approximately 222,570 lives, as reported by the National Centers for Environmental Information.

Last year, Diesel honored his late co-star on what would have been his 50th birthday.

"For me, this picture signifies the moment I knew we would be brothers for eternity," Diesel wrote in an Instagram post featuring a photo of them together, reminiscing about their trip to Haiti after the earthquake to aid in rescue and recovery efforts.

"January 2010, the night before you and I went to Haiti… the passion and joy you had to simply help people. You said first responders shouldn’t have to wait for anyone… and that you wanted to dedicate your life to that," he continued.

In November, Cody Walker, 35, spoke about the unwavering support from the Fast & Furious cast following Paul’s untimely death.

"They were all at my mom's house immediately following the accident for a couple of days," Cody recounted. "They all flew in from Atlanta or wherever they were, and it really meant a lot."

The Quran - Chapter An-Najm : 59 - 60

Do you find this revelation astonishing,

laughing ˹at it˺ and not weeping ˹in awe˺,

أَفَمِنْ هَـٰذَا الْحَدِيثِ تَعْجَبُونَ وَتَضْحَكُونَ وَلَا تَبْكُونَ (Do you then wonder at this discourse, and laugh [ at it ], and not weep....53:59-60).

The phrase this discourse' refers to the Qur'an. That is, the Qur'an, the Divine Discourse, which is itself a miracle, has already come to them.

They are surprised at it and laugh in jest and mock at it, and do not weep at their sins and shortcomings.
