single
Whether you're solitary by choice or simply unlucky in love, being single is complicated.
My Charlie Brown Syndrome
I know for a fact that I'm not the only one who goes through this... Let's go through it together, shall we? Since Valentine's Day happens during the month and I was thinking about a few things while I was watching A Charlie Brown Valentine on Hulu, I figured I'd write about it.

Finding Happiness in Being Single—Again
Real Simple magazine once asked what should be a really simple question, what was the happiest moment of your life? Well, was denotes the past, already happened, over. The tapestry of life is woven thick with happy moments: playing outside ‘til dusk with your best friends, first kiss, first car, college, marriage, or divorce perhaps, the birth of children, graduations, landing the job, all too easy and generic. The single happiest moment of your life? What if it hasn’t happened yet? What if you are still waiting for your moment?

Linda
Before I tried and failed miserably to get with Sofia, I dated a girl briefly for a bit. Things couldn't get any better! I just finished the greatest summer I'll probably ever have in the summer of 2014, I was back in school to finish and get my degree, I finally got my first job after spending two years looking for one, and the cherry on top of the sundae: I met a girl and she was lovely. Her name was Linda.

Reasons Not to Flip for Being Single in 2019
So you're going into the New Year single. Although being apart of a divine union is beautiful, some have not been as fortunate in this area. From being newly single or habitually running into the wrong energy and not seeing the lessons we tend to stop appreciating what we have in front of us.

Is There Life Out There?
I find myself 30-years-old, picking myself up after yet another failed relationship attempt, and realizing, in these moments, that my heart feels divided. There is a part of me, the part I am most familiar with, that has always been certain I wanted my prince charming, a baby or two, and roots. But a strange and unexpected thing has started to happen to me. As I look around at my friends who are getting married and buying houses and having babies, I only kind of envy them.

The Single Gal User's Manual
We live in a society where people are expected to be coupled. There's a growing acceptance that the heterosexual married couple with kids isn't the only form that couplehood can take, but there are still people who will think that something's not right if you're single.

First Kiss
I guess it's journal day! I know I shouldn't stress about my first kiss, and I'm really not, but is it really a big deal? No, right? I've told myself so many times that it's not a big deal, and it shouldn't be. But why do people always freak out when I tell them. Is it weird that a 22-year-old girl has never had her first kiss? Some of you might be saying "yes," others "no," maybe a few "who cares?" Well, I don't care.
