What are the 13 main Sweetgum Kriyul tribes?
Brass Ankles of South Carolina: The Brass Ankles of South Carolina, also called the Brass Ankles, are one of the 13 main Sweetgum Kriyul tribes. Sweetgum Kriyul refers to a broad range of different Tri-Racial Isolate Communities (TRIC) in Eastern North America. They have, as usual with Sweetgum Kriyul people, a unique mix of mostly White, Black, and Indigenous American ancestry. They're primarily located in the lowlands of South Carolina. Carmel Indians of Ohio: The Carmel Indians of Ohio are one of the 13 main Sweetgum Kriyul tribes and considered to be one of 3 main Melungeon groups, the other two being mainstream Melungeons and Chestnut Ridge People. The Carmel Indians are mostly concentrated in Southwestern and Western and Northwestern Ohio in range running North to South just West of Columbus and including the town of Carmel. They often live alongside the Napper family and other Ethnic Qarsherskiyan families in Madison County and other parts of their land that overlaps with With Qarsherskiyan lands. Chestnut Ridge People: The Chestnut Ridge People are another Melungeon subgroup and are primarily concentrated around Northern parts of West Virginia. They are also referred to as the Mayle People sometimes as that is a common surname of many Chestnut Ridge People. Creel Tribe: The Creel Tribe is a little-known Sweetgum Kriyul tribe mostly found in Northern Georgia and Northern Alabama and Northern Mississippi but also around the coast of Alabama, Mississippi, and the Florida Panhandle and in the midlands and lowlands of North and South Carolina. Very little is known about them and they are few and far between. They often just identify as Creole or mixed race and aren't an organized tribe. Ethnic Qarsherskiyan Tribe: The Ethnic Qarsherskiyan tribe is a group of Sweetgum Kriyul people mostly found in the Tidewaters Region of Virginia and North Carolina as well as along the coast of Lake Erie between Sandusky Bay and the Black River and also in the Appalachian Mountains between West Virginia, Northern parts of Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Southeastern Ohio and all the lands between those places listed. They're influenced by Aliyite Islam which is heavily intertwined with Ethnic Qarsherskiyan culture. Ethnic Qarsherskiyan symbolism includes Carolina Parakeets, Spanish Moss, Live Oaks, Bald Cypress, Pond Cypress, Palmetto Palms and other palms, Monarch Butterflies, and Pawpaw Fruit. Keating Tribe: The Keating Tribe is a mixed race community considered to be a Sweetgum Kriyul tribe that lives mainly around Keating Mountain in Pennsylvania. They are mixed race and not very well-researched, just like Ethnic Qarsherskiyans and the Marlboro Blue Tribe. Krioturk Tribe: The name for the Krioturk Tribe is a combination of the words "Creole" and "Turk" and refers to a mixed race community that was founded by Anatolian Turks from the Ottoman Empire, known in their lands of South Carolina as the Turks of South Carolina, and often the target of conspiracy theories involving the state flag of South Carolina looking Islamic and a perceived connection to Sufi Islam and Ottoman Turkic plans for colonization. For a long time, nobody believed that their ancestral base was Turkish DNA, until modern genetic testing became available and proved that they are descended from Turks after all. Lumbee Tribe: The Lumbee tribe is a triracial community considered to be a Sweetgum Kriyul tribe but identities culturally with the Native American part of their ancestry. Most Lumbees are a mix of mostly European and African ancestry, with a smaller amount of Native American ancestry, but many deny African ancestry and claim to be full blooded Native Americans, despite being Sweetgum Kriyul/triracial and having once been known as the Croatan Mulattos. Culturally, they are Native American, but genetically speaking they are a Sweetgum Kriyul group. This is a controversial topic. Marlboro Blue Tribe: The Marlboro Blue Tribe is a Sweetgum Kriyul tribe closely related to the Lumbee, Melungeons, and Ethnic Qarsherskiyans. They are found in Northern South Carolina near the border with North Carolina, in and around Marlboro County, a region known for its tobacco. There's a lot of debate and confusion about whether Marlboro Blue Cigarettes are named after the tribe, or if the tribe is named after the cigarettes. Most are Christians, although some are Aliyite Muslims or practitioners of Vodoo or members of the Ifa religion. Melungeon Tribe: Melungeons are the most famous Sweetgum Kriyul tribe. Elvis Presley was a Melungeon and some people even claim Abraham Lincoln was a Melungeon. Melungeons mostly live in Southern and Central Appalachia but also do live in parts of the non-mountainous areas of Kentucky and Tennessee and other places that are outside of Appalachia. They are well-known for being a centerpiece of Appalachian studies and people. Moors of New Jersey: The Moors of New Jersey are a mixed race community, a Sweetgum Kriyul tribe that claims partial descendant from the Moorish people, and aren't to be confused with the Moorish Science Temple, a controversial small religious movement among some Black Americans. Pea Ridge Tribe: The Pea Ridge Tribe are the people who descended from the Coe Ridge People, also called the descendants of the Pea Ridge Colony. They mainly live in Southern Kentucky near the Tennessee border around Pea Ridge but have been dispersed all over the USA. Redbone Tribe: The Redbone Tribe is another Sweetgum Kriyul tribe and mainly lives in Western parts of Louisiana near the border with Texas. Redbones are known for their colourful culture and mixed race identity, like most other Sweetgum Kriyul people, and some Redbones identity more with the Black American or Native American communities than others.

The Journey from Failure to Success: An Unwavering Pursuit of Dreams
The Journey from Failure to Success: An Unwavering Pursuit of Dreams "Your failure often becomes a source of amusement for others during your darkest times." This simple yet profound statement encapsulates the harsh truth of life. When an individual experiences failure, they are not only battling their own internal struggles but also contending with the external mockery, criticism, and derision of society. People find joy in mocking others' failures, trivialising their efforts, and belittling their dreams. The situation worsens when someone dares to dream big, as the critics grow louder, ridiculing not only their aspirations but also their courage to envision a brighter future.

Every Day in Life – A New Opportunity
Every Day in Life – A New Opportunity Every sunrise brings with it a renewed sense of hope and possibility. The soft light of dawn not only awakens the earth but also rekindles our aspirations and dreams. Life is an ever-evolving journey, a path that demands perseverance and forward motion. Each day presents us with a chance to learn, grow, and create something meaningful. In these opportunities lies the true beauty of life. The Power of Positive Beginnings Every day starts with the thoughts we nurture in our minds. The tone of our day is set by the attitude we choose to embrace in the morning. A simple yet profound thought, such as “I will make today better than yesterday,” can change the trajectory of our actions. This positive mindset fuels our ability to recognise and seize opportunities as they arise. For instance, consider a student preparing for an exam. Each day of preparation is a step closer to achieving their goals. Their belief in making steady progress helps them channel their efforts effectively, turning ordinary days into extraordinary ones. Embracing the Lessons of Life Life is not devoid of challenges. Often, we stumble, and our efforts may not yield immediate success. However, success and failure are not the ultimate yardsticks of our journey. It is the lessons we gain from these experiences that shape us into better individuals. Take the example of a struggling entrepreneur. They may face rejection, financial losses, or unforeseen setbacks. Yet, these very struggles teach resilience, innovation, and the importance of perseverance. Each failed attempt becomes a stepping stone toward success, provided they learn and adapt. The Role of Reflection As the day draws to a close, reflection becomes a vital practice. Looking back at the day’s events – the efforts made, the mistakes encountered, and the victories achieved – helps us extract valuable insights. This reflection not only prepares us for the next day but also solidifies our belief in continuous improvement. Think of an artist working on a painting. At the end of the day, they step back to observe their progress, noting areas that need refinement. This process of evaluation transforms their craft into a masterpiece over time. Turning Challenges into Opportunities Every day is like a blank canvas, waiting to be filled with colours of effort, creativity, and purpose. Life often throws challenges our way, but within these challenges lie hidden opportunities. It is up to us to approach them with a mindset of curiosity and determination. Consider a farmer facing a drought. While the lack of rain poses significant difficulties, it also inspires innovative solutions like rainwater harvesting or adopting drought-resistant crops. In their resilience lies the power to turn adversity into opportunity. Making the Most of Each Day At its core, life is a collection of moments, and each day is a chance to make those moments count. Whether it’s learning a new skill, helping someone in need, or simply appreciating the beauty of nature, every action contributes to our personal growth and happiness. For example, a teacher who spends their day imparting knowledge not only changes the lives of their students but also finds immense satisfaction in their role. Their dedication to making each day productive creates a lasting impact. The True Essence of Life Life’s true essence lies in recognising the value of each day and making the most of the opportunities it presents. By embracing positivity, learning from setbacks, and reflecting on our actions, we can transform ordinary days into extraordinary experiences. So, let us greet each day with an open heart and a determined spirit. Let us cherish the opportunities it brings and strive to become the best versions of ourselves. Life may be full of challenges, but within those challenges lies the potential for growth, fulfilment, and happiness. Each day is a gift – an opportunity to create, to learn, and to shine brighter than ever before. Let us make every moment count and, in doing so, uncover the true beauty of life.

The Parasite Problem
The Parasite Problem Ira stared at the message on her phone, her face scrunched in confusion. “What the...?” --- Ira: Whom the parasite is out? What kind of parasite gets expelled through a period?! --- The dreaded three dots appeared at the bottom of the screen, signaling Zara’s response. --- Zara: An embryo, duh. --- Ira froze. Her phone slipped from her hand and clattered onto the bed. Her stomach clenched painfully—but this time, it wasn’t from the cramps. --- Ira: Zara, this is NOT funny. I’m not pregnant. --- Even as she hit send, doubt gnawed at her. Her last few months had been chaotic—a blur of skipped meals, sleepless nights, and, yes, irregular periods. But pregnancy? That was impossible. Wasn’t it? The cramps flared again, sharp enough to make her gasp. Without thinking, she dialed Zara. “Zara,” she hissed as soon as her friend answered. “Are you seriously suggesting I was pregnant?” Zara didn’t miss a beat. “Uh, yeah. Missed periods, stomach issues, and now heavy bleeding with clots? Textbook chemical pregnancy or early miscarriage.” Ira’s brain short-circuited. “But—but I took parasite meds! Could those have caused it?” “Not likely,” Zara replied, annoyingly calm. “If it was a pregnancy, your body was already rejecting it. The meds might’ve sped things up, but they weren’t the cause. Honestly, you should be relieved. You’re single, hate kids, and call everything a parasite anyway. Win-win, right?” “Zara, this is NOT a silver lining!” Ira shrieked, pacing her tiny apartment. “I might’ve just flushed a baby down the toilet!” Zara sighed like she was dealing with a particularly slow child. “First of all, it wasn’t a baby. At best, it was a clump of cells smaller than a sesame seed. Second, weren’t you the one ranting about parasites last week? Well, congratulations! You got rid of it. Happy now?” “ZARA!” Ira shouted, equal parts horrified and hysterical. “Relax,” Zara said, her tone maddeningly casual. “Do you want me to come over? I’ll bring chocolate and painkillers.” Before Ira could respond, Zara hung up. --- By the time Zara arrived, Ira had spiraled through every emotion imaginable: confusion, guilt, grief, and finally, reluctant acceptance. She was sprawled on the couch, clutching a hot water bottle like a lifeline. Zara breezed in like a tornado, carrying a bag of goodies. She dumped it onto the coffee table and plopped down beside Ira. “Here,” she said, tossing her a heating pad. “How’s the exorcism going?” Ira glared at her. “Don’t.” “What?” Zara said, grinning. “You’re the one who called it a parasite. I’m just staying on brand.” “Shut up,” Ira muttered, unwrapping a chocolate bar. “I mean, seriously,” Zara continued, completely ignoring her. “You dodged two bullets today: no tapeworm and no baby. That’s a win-win.” Ira wanted to be mad, but the absurdity of it all was too much. Despite herself, she started laughing. “You’re a terrible human being, you know that?” “Yeah, but I’m *your* terrible human being,” Zara said, smirking. “Now, come on. What’s the real issue here? Are you upset because you *might* have been pregnant, or are you freaking out because you didn’t know?” Ira hesitated, unwrapping another piece of chocolate. “I don’t know. Both, maybe? It’s just... scary. Like, what if I hadn’t noticed? What if it happened again?” “Easy solution,” Zara said, reaching for a piece of chocolate herself. “Start keeping track of your cycle. There are apps for that, you know. And maybe go see a doctor to make sure everything’s okay down there.” Ira groaned, pressing her hands to her face. “I hate adulting.” “Everyone does,” Zara said cheerfully. “But look at it this way: your uterus just sent you a very clear message. ‘No unwanted tenants allowed.’” “Zara.” “What?” Zara said, throwing up her hands. “I’m just saying! Your body’s got boundaries. Respect.” Despite herself, Ira started laughing again. It was ridiculous, but it was also oddly comforting. Zara was right—her life might be a mess, but at least it was her mess. “Thanks,” she said, leaning back against the couch. “For what?” “For making me laugh,” Ira said. “Even when I kind of want to kill you.” “That’s what best friends are for,” Zara said, tossing a throw pillow at her. And for the first time all day, Ira felt like everything was going to be okay.

Bitter but True
Bitter but True Life often teaches us the most profound lessons in the harshest ways. One such bitter truth is how we take people for granted when they are alive, only to realise their true worth when they are no longer with us. It’s a truth that most of us have experienced but rarely acknowledge until it’s too late. When someone is alive, we rarely have time to truly connect with them. A passing “How are you?” is the most we muster, not because we are indifferent, but because we are too consumed by our own lives. We notice their smiles but fail to see the pain behind them. We hear their words but seldom understand the emotions hidden within. Their silences, which often scream louder than words, are ignored because we never pause to ask, “Why are you so quiet?” Their presence is a background noise we’ve grown accustomed to, but never truly appreciated. And then, one day, they leave. Their voice, once so familiar, fades into memory. The laughter that once lit up our days is replaced by an aching void. Only then do we realise the depth of their love, their pain, and their unspoken words. Only then do we yearn for one more conversation, one more chance to truly listen, to ask, “How are you, really?” But by then, it’s too late. This is the bitter truth of life. We fail to value the living. We fail to invest our time, our energy, and our emotions into understanding the people around us. We let our busy lives overshadow the simple yet profound moments of connection. And when we finally realise what we’ve lost, regret is all we have left. How often do we sit with someone and truly listen to them? How often do we set aside our phones, our distractions, and just be present? It’s in these moments of genuine connection that life’s real meaning unfolds. A person’s existence is more than their physical presence; it’s their thoughts, their emotions, their silent battles, and their dreams. But we see these only when they’re no longer visible. It’s heartbreaking how death brings clarity to the importance of life. The same person we once ignored becomes the focal point of our thoughts. The same moments we dismissed become precious memories. And the same silence we overlooked becomes a deafening echo in their absence. This truth is not just bitter; it’s cruel. But it also carries a lesson. A lesson to love, to appreciate, and to connect while we still can. To take that extra moment to ask, “How are you, really?” To notice the pain behind a smile, to hear the unspoken words in a silence, and to value the time we have with those we hold dear. Because time is fleeting, and life offers no guarantees. Let us not wait for loss to teach us the value of presence. Let us cherish those around us, not just in grand gestures but in small, everyday moments. A kind word, a warm hug, a genuine conversation—these are the things that create lasting bonds and leave no room for regret. One day, we’ll all be memories to someone. Let’s make those memories filled with love, understanding, and connection. Let’s ensure that when the question, “Why didn’t I spend more time with them?” arises, we can confidently say, “I did.” Life is fleeting, and so are its moments. Let’s not let the bitter truth of regret overshadow the sweet truth of love.

The Strength of Relationships: Where Trust and Loyalty Thrive
The Strength of Relationships: Where Trust and Loyalty Thrive In today's world, relationships often seem to be built for convenience, weighed on the scale of selfish interests. Amid such an atmosphere, there are a few who hold onto the virtues of trust, love, and loyalty in their relationships. For these individuals, a relationship is not just a word but a sacred promise to be honoured for a lifetime. My philosophy in life is simple: "I don’t believe in using people for convenience. Once I form a bond, I have the strength to uphold it until the very end." Relationships are priceless treasures that go beyond the realm of give-and-take. They are built on affection, nurtured with care, and sustained through sacrifice. In the current age, many people seek only selfish gains in relationships. Once their needs are met, they sever the ties. In such a world, those who remain true and loyal to their relationships are indeed rare gems. I vividly remember an incident from my life when a friend of mine helped me out of a significant problem. He didn’t once think about whether I would be able to repay him or not. That moment strengthened our bond and gave it a new height. Even today, that relationship thrives because it was built on a foundation of love and trust. The Test of True Relationships The true test of relationships comes during difficult times. In moments of joy, everyone is by your side, but in times of despair, only a few remain. These are the people who understand the true meaning of humanity and loyalty. I recall another incident involving a close family member who faced severe financial troubles. To support them, I had to set aside my own needs. That moment of selfless giving not only solidified our bond but also gave me immense satisfaction. Such sacrifices are what make relationships genuine and enduring. The Pillars of Strong Relationships 1. Honesty: Relationships crumble when dishonesty creeps in. Honesty is the cornerstone of any strong bond. 2. Willingness to Sacrifice: At times, you must set aside your own desires for the sake of the other person. This selflessness is what nurtures lasting relationships. 3. Communication: Misunderstandings can erode even the strongest relationships. Open and honest communication is essential to keep the bond alive. 4. Trust: Trust is the bedrock of any relationship. Once lost, it is hard to regain. Relationships in a Self-Centred World In today’s self-centred world, many people abandon relationships once their needs are fulfilled. Such individuals often face loneliness in the end because they have lost the essence of humanity within their bonds. On the other hand, those who cherish their relationships find lasting satisfaction and joy. Relationships are not just about convenience; they are the embodiment of human connection and compassion. Finding Meaning Through Relationships For me, relationships are sacred bonds. Once formed, they are built on honesty, love, and the willingness to sacrifice. I do not see relationships as a necessity but as a source of strength. Through them, I find the true meaning of life and gain a sense of fulfilment that no material possession can provide. When I look back at life, what remains are the people who stood by me through thick and thin. These relationships are not fleeting; they are the pillars of my life. The strength to nurture and uphold these bonds defines the essence of humanity. As I reflect on my journey, I am reminded of my father’s words: “Relationships are like a finely woven thread. Once created, it is our responsibility to preserve and protect them.” This lesson has been my guiding light, teaching me that there is no substitute for loyalty and truthfulness in relationships. In a world where convenience dictates connections, those who cherish their relationships with sincerity are truly blessed. For them, the joy of giving and the fulfilment of seeing a bond thrive outweighs all else. For me, relationships are a testament to love, trust, and loyalty. They define who I am and enrich my life in ways that nothing else can. And in the end, it is these bonds that give life its true meaning. Where trust and loyalty exist, humanity flourishes, and relationships become the greatest source of strength.
