Kendrick Lamar Hits Back At Drake’s ‘Family Matters’ With ‘Meet The Grahams’ Diss Track
Kendrick Lamar swiftly countered Drake’s ‘Family Matters’ track with his own incendiary diss song titled “Meet the Grahams.” In a quick turnaround, Kendrick Lamar fired back with not one but two diss tracks aimed squarely at Drake, with his latest effort taking aim not just at the Toronto rapper but also his entire family. ‘Meet the Grahams’ bursts onto the scene with Kendrick Lamar diving into four hard-hitting verses targeting Drake’s son Adonis, mother Sandra, and father Dennis. Kendrick's claim that Drake is concealing an 11-year-old daughter is particularly striking, with lyrics that have sparked intense speculation. In response, Drake addressed the rumors on his Instagram story, writing, “Hold on, can someone find my hidden daughter pls and send her to me…these guys are in shambles.” The cover art for the track appears to playfully mock visuals from Kendrick’s previous song “6:16 in LA,” featuring a zoomed-out photo showcasing two pill bottles, receipts, and other items supposedly linked to Drake. Kendrick’s lyrics portray Drake as a manipulator, gambling addict, and draw comparisons to Harvey Weinstein. The feud between these two rappers has escalated dramatically, with fans eagerly anticipating the next chapter. Drake’s Instagram retort and Kendrick Lamar’s explosive lyrics have already ignited social media, and only time will tell where this feud will lead. “We could’ve left the kids out of this, don’t blame me,” Drake tells Lamar on the track. “You a dog and you know it, you just play sweet / Your baby mama captions always screamin’ ‘Save me’/ You did her dirty all her life, you tryna make peace.” Drake later takes aim at Rick Ross, who entered the fray with his Drake-dissing “Champagne Moments,” by mocking that rapper’s correctional officer past, “Body after fuckin’ body and you know Rick reading my Miranda rights.” As if lying in wait, Lamar quickly emerged with yet another diss track, “Meet the Grahams,” which — written as a letter to Drake’s son Adonis — focuses on Drake’s family life and alleges that the rapper also has a secret daughter no one knows about. “The the black messiah wifed up to a mixed queen, and hit vanilla cream to help out with ya self esteem, on some Bobby sh*t I wanna know what Whitney need. “I heard one of your lil kids might be Dave Free’s,” he raps. Lamar and his mixed-race fiancée, Whitney are childhood sweethearts and have been together for over 20 years. The couple are blessed with two children. On Friday, Drake responded with Family Matters, hitting back: "Why you never hold your son and tell him say cheese. We could have left the kids out of this don't blame me." The lyrics seem to be a reposte to Lamar questioning his abilities as a father on Euphoria. In his latest release, Drake - the world's most-streamed hip hop artist - also seemed to suggest one of Lamar's children had been fathered by someone else. Kendrick Lamar got just as personal in his almost immediate response, Meet the Grahams, which mentions Drake's son Adonis, as well as his mother and father - Sandra and Dennis Graham. "Dear Adonis, I'm sorry that that man is your father. Let me be honest, it takes a man to be a man, your dad is not responsive," Lamar states. Last month, Drake released Push Ups, which mocked Lamar's collaborations with Taylor Swift and pop group Maroon 5. He followed it with Taylor Made Freestyle, another opus that called Lamar a coward for failing to respond. That track caused controversy as it used an AI-generated voice of Tupac Shakur - with the late rapper's estate threatening to sue. Lamar replied earlier this week with Euphoria, where he told Drake: "You're not a rap artist, you a scam artist with the hopes of being accepted".

I remember the year Kesha put out her first song after she was free of her abuser... I personally was just coming to terms with my own rape... I knew she was putting out a song about her own... I couldn't wait, it was going to be my anthem, it was going to destroy that man, it was going to be angry and full of hate and venom and justice and then it came out... it was the song "praying"
