Why Wicked: For Good is Undeservingly the ‘worse movie’. Top Story - March 2026.
So… off the bat, we’re about to delve into something ridiculous. Just so we’re clear on that, ok? The first thing anyone that knows a thing about these dual movies… knows… is the original movie and sequel were shot together.

Managed, Not Healed
For people living with chronic pain, the most destabilizing realization is not that healing is difficult. It is that healing is often not the goal. The healthcare system that surrounds them is built to manage symptoms, document persistence, and ration interventions rather than pursue restoration of function. Over time, patients begin to notice a pattern. Short-acting medications are readily available. Repeated appointments are routine. Imaging is reviewed, notes are written, and pain is acknowledged. Yet interventions aimed at resolving underlying structural problems, restoring stability, or preventing long-term degeneration are delayed, denied, or classified as optional. The system responds continuously, but it rarely moves forward.

The Black Scotland I Never Knew. Top Story - March 2026.
As most will know who follow my work, I’m rather fond of being Scottish. While it’s not a kind of horrific patriotism that puts other nations down, it is a sense of pride that I was born here. One of the many things (and there are many—which may be ironic really, but don’t we have as many complaints about the places we love as things we love?) that wrong-footed me in life was the fact that, in the small suburban town of Stepps, outside Glasgow, where I spent most of my formative years, there weren’t many Black people. I was raised Catholic, went to Catholic school for both primary and secondary, and most people I encountered were Scottish white or Western European white. I learned about Black people and Black culture from television, music, films, and books. I loved hip-hop, Eddie Murphy, Spike Lee, John Singleton, Jimi Hendrix, and far too many others to mention. But I had very little real-life experience, year to year, with Black people in my life, which I find rather strange—but it is what it is. So when approaching this, rather than choosing some of the big names, I thought I would educate myself on some Black Scottish people of importance and what they achieved.

They Don’t Wear Green in Ireland
All these things I was taught as a child that we’ve learned is a lie. Columbus didn’t discover America. Not because there were already hundreds of thousands living here, yes… but also he was far from the first European. Norsemen settled in modern Nova Scotia (and probably New England) starting around the year 1,000.

The Night I Discovered My Girlfriend's Terrifying Secret
I met Sarah at a coffee shop in downtown Portland in the fall of 2017, and she seemed absolutely perfect in every way that mattered to a lonely twenty-six-year-old man who had spent the previous two years recovering from a devastating breakup, with her bright smile and infectious laugh and the way she seemed genuinely interested in everything I said, asking thoughtful questions about my work as a graphic designer and my passion for hiking and my dreams of someday traveling through South America, and within three weeks we were officially dating, within two months she had moved into my apartment, and within four months I was thinking about engagement rings and planning a future that included marriage and children and growing old together, completely unaware that the woman sleeping next to me every night was hiding something so disturbing that when I finally discovered the truth it would shatter my ability to trust my own judgment about people ever again.
