Nigerian personality Bobrisky was today sentenced to six months in prison with no option for bail for "naira mutilation" because Bob sprayed money at an event. The judgement is very hefty especially for something so many people in the country do, but it's what the judge decided.

Now, some prominent Nigerian celebrities are speaking out on the decision. Here's what they said.

Charly Boy

A brutal, calculated attack on people who choose to be different from the 200Million others.

No option of fine!

Or community service, for spraying??

In Nigeria???

~Eni

Bob Risky sprayed naira notes at a party, and the diligent EFCC and an upright judge sent him to Pris ion for six months, in a country ruined by peerless vernal crooks and career criminals.

May Nigeria not happen to me and you.

~Dele

My question,

Does Bob Risky deserve Dis?

Or is dis just a witch hunt?

Chioma Goodhair

An unfair & excessive judgment IMO

Kemi Lala Akindoju

That judgement is ridiculous. It’s also surprising to see how swift the Nigerian justice system can be. 🤦🏾‍♀️

Abimbola Craig

Fairness isn’t a term or word people in power are familiar with sha. Smh

Dénola Grey

We all know this isn't about spraying. They're scapegoating her and using this BS as a reason.

I hate bullies. Unfortunately, this country is FULL of them.

Aisha Yesufu

Who advised him to plead guilty?

How does spraying of money equate to mutilating money? If it is and a crime why is it selectively used?

Many are happy when injustice is meted on those they do not like or do not like their choices.

They at that time forget that injustice to one is injustice to all!

If you are prosecuting Bobrisky for spraying money then everyone should be prosecuted.

Selective prosecution is injustice!

Mutilation and spraying money how are they the same?

Did Bobrisky pick a scissors and started shredding the NAIRA?

We just have a jungle where anything goes because some people’s morality is offended.

If Bobrisky has crimes he has committed prosecute him on those and not these selective prosecution.

Hauwa

This Bobrisky sentence makes me so afraid of Nigeria.

Noble Igwe

Don’t do crime !

Bobrisky is a youth, not the first person to abuse the Naira but you don’t see the ministry putting out a statement on his behalf.

Freedom fighters choose when /who / what they fight for.

Niyi Akinmolayan

So… can we show spraying of money in our films or that’s also a Criminal offense
