Pre-Sunshine on the Lake

A Poem

By Jeffrey KippelPublished 5 years ago • 1 min read

Pre Sunrise on the lake.

As spring settles in

nature responds

bringing contrast and spark

to the morning din.

Blues and greys

orange and pink

silhouettes dancing below

bringing life to the lake and bays.

The whispering breeze

gently sings

calling the clouds to play

casting shadows on the trees.

Spring is here

on the lake

before the sunrise

nature begins its cheer.

Muskoka Lakes, Ontario Canada 🍁

March 23, 2021

I took this picture early morning while staying at the Muskoka Lakes Hotel in Ontario, Canada. My wife into a routine of waking up to witness and enjoy the sunrise as part of a plan to reset her circadian rhythm and #rethinkFIT by taking a self-love action. At first I refused as morning are a time to sleep right? Waking up at 5:30am is out of that comfort zone… and, as a Life Optimization Coach I also know to see real changes in your life you need to step outside of your comfort zone. So… I did. It is actually really cool waking up so early in the morning… the views are fantastic and there is an energy in the air that helps to spark ⚡️ the day into motion. With most of the world still sleeping 😴 it’s a perfect time to take all kinds of self-love actions like meditating, stretching and moving the body in some sort of workout. Slowly then getting into some of the “catch-up” work of the day - emails, texts, “behind-the-scenes” action steps and be fully ready to greet the day! If you try this too use the hashtag #rethinkFIT & #morningsunrise and @mention me in your posts.
