Nina Dobrev's recovery from a bike accident is gradually improving!

More than two weeks after revealing she was involved in a biking accident, The Vampire Diaries alum announced that her recent surgery was a “success.”

In her latest health update, Dobrev shared on both Instagram posts and Stories that she was anxious about the surgery. She posted three separate Instagram Stories, candidly sharing her feelings before the procedure.

Dobrev has not disclosed any additional details about the accident or the specific injury and surgery she underwent.

In the first post, the 35-year-old actress was seen in a hospital gown with watery eyes, a frown, and a thumbs down, with text overlaid that read: "Anyone else get scared before surgery? I'm such a baby when it comes to needles, blood, or procedures of any kind."

The second Stories slide showed Dobrev in a hospital bed covered in blankets with her injured leg poking out. "Had to get one last photo of my leg - pristine - before it's all scarred up," read the text overlay.

The third and final slide was a video of Dobrev drawing on her leg before surgery, confirming it was the correct limb to operate on.

"😳🫣. Fun fact: they make you draw on the limb being operated on to ensure it's the correct one," she explained in the Stories' text. "(Apparently, some surgeons have mistakenly operated on the wrong limb in the past. 🥶😅.) Yikes!!!"

After the surgery, The Perks of Being a Wallflower actress shared an update on her Instagram feed. She posted a photo of herself in the operating room, giving a thumbs up to the camera. Her second photo was a selfie of the teary-eyed actress looking directly at the camera.

"Surgery was a success 🫶🏼," she wrote in the Instagram caption. "Thank you to everyone who has been sending kind messages, thoughts, prayers, and good vibes. I have been feeling the support and positive energy. It means more than you will ever know ❤️‍🩹."

Several friends and fans flooded her comment section with support for the actress. Her boyfriend Shaun White commented, "WE ALL LOVE YOU."

White, 37, has been by the actress’ side since the accident. She shared a series of photos on Instagram highlighting her recovery and a hilarious video of the Olympian cheering her up.

In the video, he was seen dancing in a white The Vampire Diaries sweater, which had her character Elena Gilbert's name embroidered in large black letters, along with colorful outlines of her face.
