What Happened?

This afternoon, Regina Daniels took to her Instagram to post a video where her husband Ned Nwoko called for the stoppage of dollar use in Nigeria saying:

NED NWOKO: I lamented the fundamental problem we have in Nigeria and that is the use of dual currencies in Nigeria. There is no other economy that can survive with that. We must understand that we have relegated naira to the background. Everybody is talking about dollars and dollars are what is causing the problem. It might be a difficult thing to contemplate but it has to be done. What has to be done is that we have to stop the use of dollars in Nigeria. Once you do that, everything will begin to take shape. And let me tell you what will happen - Nigeria we must make it compulsory for the use of naira by everybody in Nigeria. So even the sale of crude oil must be done in naira. Anybody who is coming to Nigeria as a tourist must come here with naira. By the time you make it compulsory for people to come into Nigeria with naira, the need and demand for naira will become prevalent in those countries. So they will go their banks to buy naira to come to Nigeria.

Regina posted the video while supporting her husband saying:

REGINA DANIELS: It is indeed true that our Naira has been relegated to the background. Everyone is just talking about the increase in dollars which clearly affects the people’s cost of living in a country that has its local currency. What do you think ?

Well, Regina asked what we thought, and the people definitely had a lot of mixed reactions. One person said: "Coming from someone who probably has more dollars than naira?", another said "Make una no d deceive una selfs.. your hubby dey mad sef .. all these politicians need to be Thrown out", while another said "This man has sense from day 1"
