Miley Cyrus' fabulously toned legs are just the cherry on top.

When it comes to workout fashion, Miley Cyrus is as glamorous as you'd imagine.

In an interview with W Magazine published on Monday, June 3, the 31-year-old pop sensation revealed her preference for working out in heels.

"My motto is, like any athlete, 'Practice how you perform,'" the "Flowers" singer told the outlet. "That's why I train in heels. The gym may look intense, but I've got my ivory Gucci slingbacks on because they remind me of Marilyn Monroe. I mostly work out in heels. I'm keen on bringing a touch of femininity to the workout space, which is often filled with unattractive equipment."

While exercising in high heels undoubtedly contributes to Cyrus' incredibly toned physique, the Grammy winner noted that this ritual also helps her embody her onstage persona.

"I definitely have a persona—an expanded, fully realized version of myself that I tap into as a performer," she explained. "But there's also a deeply intimate, sacred, and private side of my life."

The former Disney Channel star mentioned that her industry mentors, Beyoncé and Dolly Parton, understand the duality of having a performer persona.

"It's a special aspect of our relationship because, over the past few years, I've really focused on maintaining my privacy and being selective about what I share with the public," Cyrus said of Beyoncé, with whom she recently collaborated on the genre-bending album Cowboy Carter. "She operates the same way. Part of our connection is rooted in the safety and trust between us."

She continued, "Songwriting or working together is just a small part of my relationship with her—or with Dolly, or anyone else. Our performer personas have a relationship, but we also have a personal relationship. And I cherish that."

Beyoncé has also influenced Cyrus' signature style.

"Beyoncé sent me a House of Deréon jacket with 'Miley' spelled out in gold studs on the back, which is my favorite, along with some jeans bearing my name," she shared. "In one of my songs, 'Cattitude,' I sing, 'And for my 16th birthday, I got Deréon from the house of the queen.'"
