Madam Ulysses:

Iridescent Electric Blue

Moleskin, moleskin on the wall who is the most beautiful butterfly 🦋 of them all .... “Madame Ulysses of course” boomed oh wise Mokeskin!

There are no comparisons. She is magnificent, delicate, unique, stunning and found in very select exotic tropical locations. She is the Crem della Crem of butterflies.

Her intense blue, hidden by the plainer brown under side of her wings, assists her to slip stealthily into the background, so she may blend into her surroundings if she wishes to be discreet & go unnoticed. However unable to notice her is almost impossible. I remember the first time I saw her and I could not take my eyes off of her.

When she is in full flight, floating gently out in the open sky, she glistens in the sunlight, effortless, humble and unaware how much she dazzles and shines ..... it’s just who she is!!!!

Madam Ulysses can be quite erratic at times & be visibly noticed hundreds of metres away as sudden bright blue flashes. Attracting the attention of all passers by with excitement and joy, and reckless abandon. Here one moment, gone the next in a blink of the eye! It’s difficult to keep up with her: She may at times choose to sit in stillness, observing everything around her, breathing and taking it all in the present moment. At the same time completely oblivious to her short life span, and she has a romantic notion that she may just live forever. A lot like humans, life is not a dress rehearsal however we at times get so caught up in “stuff” that often does not matter, we forget we are on this earth for such a short time.

I have only ever experienced such majestic blue brilliance in one other place on the planet... and that was at the Blue Lagoon in Jamaica, not far from Negril, with it’s azure & turquoise shades vivid, mesmerising, extraordinary. Breath taking, awe inspiring beyond words. Butterfly’s dancing, however nothing to compare to Madam Ulysses. The poorer country cousins. Similar surrounding however no where near as brilliants as she is!

Imagine being able to slip through a portal with no space, no place, no time entering the “quantum” field, being transported to endless opportunities.

The energy contained in a quantum field comes in integer multiples of some fundamental energy. For light, this is associated with the frequency and wavelength of the light– high or low frequency, short or long wavelength correlating to a large or small light characteristic energy. Imagination the combination of Madam Ulysses & the Blue Lagoon how magic would it be. Crossing over continents and borders, through time and space uniting together and creating a sensational myriad of colours, covering all the shades of the spectrum! The vibrational frequency of so much colour uplifting & nurturing your soul and your spirit So aesthetically pleasing, making you feel automatically relaxed all over.

A brilliant rainbow hovering over the Blue Lagoon as light rain and sunshine meet, they do their dance, like two lovers engaging in the Tango, creating their magic. Does anyone ever tire of seeing a rainbow? It’s like a gift from God, a surprise .... a good omen perhaps, new beginnings, acceptance a reminder that this too shall pass ..... you can’t have rainbows without rain nor do you appreciate the rain without new life & rainbows.

I recall being likened to Madam Ulysses more than once. I have never been sure if this was an analogy that I have a passion for people, travel, culture, wander lust, floating hear and there, always to the best of her own drum, always taking the road less travelled, Not able to sit still. Yet very afaptable. My favourite attire in clothing is a selection of hand picked beautiful silk Kaftans with sparkles, they glisten & shimmer in the sunlight .... my favourite are my iridescent blue ones inspired by Madam Ulysses. When I wear these I take on the persona of Madam Ulysses and take on a while new life form, confident, poised, graceful, flowing, at peace, tranquil & beautiful in my own way.

I can only wish I am half as delicate, graceful, and beautiful as the equisite Madam Ulysses!

She turns heads wherever she goes and she still doesn’t disappoint.

I recall a time in my youth where I too would turn heads wherever I went ... and I didn’t even realise. Youth is misspent on the young. Thank you Madam Ulysses for reminding me of my own inner beauty, and my own light!
