Kimye’s Loving History but Sad Split

Marriage is a sacred bond between two loving souls. Kim and Kanye West were two of those loving souls. They truly cherished one another and went on to create four beautiful children.

After Kanye proposed to Kim at the San Francisco Giants stadium, AT&T Park, costing a hefty $3.3 million the couple were married on May 24 2014. This took place in Florence, Italy at a posh ceremony at the Forte di Belvedere.

It was announced last Friday that the two will be getting a divorce after almost seven years. This comes as a surprise after all they have been through, including being victims in an armed robbery in 2016 and mental health issues that have plagued Kanye. The divorce is being worked through right now and seems to be amicable with both parties having joint custody of the children: North-7, Saint-5, Chicago-3 and Psalm who is one year old. They have a prenuptial agreement before they entered into the marriage so the divorce should be a quick one. They are very close to accepting an arrangement on shared properties.

Kim is 40 and on her third divorce while Kanye is 43 and on his first. Kanye is the brains behind Yeezy sneaker brand. He is also a rapper, songwriter, record producer, fashion designer and politician. Kim has a $780 million bailiwick and owned Kardashian Beauty along with her sisters. She also owns TheKidsSupply clothing line with Kanye which includes “itty bitty Yeezys” children’s footwear in partnership with Adidas. She stepped out on her own to create her own beauty company called KKW Beauty in 2017. In 2019, she launched her intimate clothing line called SKIMS Solutionwear which is sold at Nordstrom. If all of that isn’t enough, this intriguing woman is now studying for her bar exam which takes place in 2022. “It’s never too late to follow your dreams,” she posted on Instagram. She is also involved in prison reform which sparked her interest in the law profession.

Kanye has had his fair share of mental health problems due to his bi-polar disorder. There have been several incidents of odd behavior and family secrets that have been leaked. For example, Kanye opened up about the time Kim was considering the abortion of her first child. Kim told of her husband’s disorder back in July of 2020. She wanted “compassion and empathy” toward her beloved as they deal with this in private.

Kim had said, “It’s ok to not understand each other. It’s ok to not have the same exact feelings all the time. It’s just about figuring out how do we grow from that? Or what’s the lesson from that? And giving each other space and time to figure that out.”

Kim was quoted as saying about Ye’s mental illness: “Living with bipolar disorder does not diminish or invalidate his dreams and his creative ideas, no matter how big or unobtainable they may feel to some. That is part of his genius and as we have all witnessed, many of his big dreams have come true.”

“He’s the most romantic guy I’ve ever met. He’s better than any movie or romantic novel,” said Kim when she was interviewed on Ellen.

Now that the final season of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians is airing on March 18th, one has to wonder if more information will be shared with the fans on the show. The series has been ground zero for the couple’s marriage since day one. Between the public life on The Kardashian’s, the Tweets on Twitter and the posts on Instagram, a marriage would be hard for any couple-let alone two famous entities- trying to make their lives and schedules mesh with their intimate moments. They have spent most of the holidays apart as they have been going their own separate ways for awhile now. Kim just wants to “get it over, while Kanye seems deeply “upset” about the serious situation.

Kim and Kanye are both successful entrepreneurs that seemed to have it all together. We all are saddened by this news and have hope that they will re-ignite their once smoldering fire that had us all wanting the same thing for ourselves.
