Speaking about her time in the Big Brother house, and how she was advised beforehand to pay for her fellow housemates' downfall, Alex said:

ALEX UNUSUAL: I didn’t even realise how much of a one man Mopol I was. I felt that people probably had my back and I just wasn’t seeing it, and for all the times that my instincts told me that I was one man in this house, standing alone, I tried to downplay them. I actually downplayed my instincts a lot in the house. It was not intentional. I went into the house hoping that all of us would live in peace and love. I had no idea that the moment I walked in, I would be seen as a competition, and the fall of Alex started to become a plan. But I am not upset about it. I just have a very strong personality. And, I know that regardless of who you are, I do not need alliances to do well. I didn’t need it outside here the first time. I don’t need it now, and I still will not need it. Even if I was going to have alliances, I didn’t even go into the house with any strategy. I just went in to be myself. Being Alex, it’s only Alex. I couldn’t be more than one person. I didn’t have any need to force an alliance. If any alliance had even happened, it would’ve been very natural. But I was a one man army and it was fine, both inside and outside the house.

I have my mistakes. I should have trusted my instincts more. The thing is, before I went into the house, there were lots of advice about paying the media to talk positively about you, and negatively about other people. I was supposed to put down money for media narratives. But I’m not that kind of person. First of all, I don’t believe in paying for anyone’s downfall. If I had even decided to pay for anything before I left, because they say once you get on stage, you need to pay influencers and media houses, to be positive about you, even if they don’t like you. I didn’t see the need for all of that. I thought this was All Stars? Everybody just coming with their star power? There was no need to bring any other person down.
