How I Feel about People Attacking Me for What Went on Onstage - Ruger
Ruger talks stage antics
Nigerian singer Ruger has been on tour and throughout his tour, Ruger has been causing headlines and mayhem because of the antics he pulls on the road. Ruger's concerts, just like his music, are known to get very raunchy. Ruger gives lap dances, bends girls over, does all manner of things on stage - things that a lot of netizens have problems with.
Now, during a new interview with The Zero Conditions podcast, Ruger is opening up about how he feels about the hate he gets for what happens on stage. Here's what the singer had to say.

During the interview, Ruger was asked "Do you sometimes worry about your touring experience? If you use social media, a lot of people have spoken angrily about what you do on stage. They've talked about lawsuits and how that can go left and how the women can go on tomorrow to sue you. Do you worry about such?" He responded:
RUGER: First of all, I'm not the first to do it. Do you understand? I'm not the first to do it. A lot of artistes do it but they will not come out [to bash those]. Maybe it's because it's Ruger, they will now come for me. But before I bring any girl on stage, my team checks their ID, makes sure they're above 21. If you're 18 or 19, you're not climbing that stage. And I ask them openly on stage "are you ready?" and they say yes. And they're eager to. Because I stand and they come to me, I don't go to them. But I feel like people just want to talk because it's me. Some people don't like me, I don't know why. I feel like people have a toxic relationship with me. Cuz some people think I'm rude or arrogant, I think some people think that. I don't know, there's one misunderstanding that's going on, but me I'll always be me. I know that they love the music when the music comes out definitely but I feel like they don't understand my personality yet. With my captions and all of that, they just see me as a cocky person. Me I'm not cocky. When you meet me in person, I'm simple. Very simple. Sometimes I look at the negative comments and I'm like this is not actually me, what are you guys saying? But after I sleep and eat, I'm good.
