Honest - describes a person who is loyal, honest, and has no crooked mind; does things according to the rules, is peaceful and obedient, and obeys arrangements.

The word honest, used at different times, has a different emotional color.

For example, to describe the quality of a person: he is honest. This is the ordinary sense of describing a person as plain and honest, in a positive sense.

Describe a person in doing something: You are just too honest. The implication is that you do not know how to adapt, which is a derogatory sense.

Generally, cooperation with honest people is relatively smooth, honest people have no heart, and the second honest person will not refuse their requests. But there are disadvantages to working with honest people, such as many things that need to take their ideas, being very worried, or the other party is not honest, but a fox wearing a mask of honesty.

In the past few years, more and more honest people "rolled over" the case.

The honest people in the eyes of friends, money running away; the honest people in the eyes of classmates, raised a knife to kill; even the honest Chen Junsheng in the eyes of Luo Zijun, also cheated and divorced. Everyone says they don't dare to make friends with honest people, and they don't know which day they will be planted.

Psychologists, after summarizing these events, also said: never make friends with honest people.

1. personality mask

Honesty is a disguise for honest people.

Jung divided the human subconscious into two levels: the individual subconscious and the collective subconscious.

The individual subconscious is the memories, impulses, desires, and other experiences that the individual has been aware of, but repressed or forgotten, mostly events that can be returned to the conscious level.

The collective subconscious is a mental fact that is not limited to individual experience and cannot be perceived but is shared by the entire human race, and its main content is archetypes. Archetypes include anima and animus, the true self, the shadow, and the personality mask.

The personality mask is common to all human beings and is a role play that the self consciously presents to the public in the subconscious of the individual.

Its purpose is to give a good impression to be recognized by society.

Jiahe in "Don't Talk to Strangers" wears an honest, gentlemanly mask, but when he returns home, he shows his true colors and fights with his wife.

People who are good at playing a role completely different from their nature are very scared when they tear off their personality masks.

2. Suppressing emotions

Honesty, not care.

"Good temper" is a characteristic of many honest people, but also everyone praised the advantages. Generally speaking, people follow the principle of reciprocity in human interaction, honest people are good to themselves, and they are also good to honest people.

But some people, think that honest people can tolerate, the long-term bullying of honest people, and eventually the "honest people" revenge.

Many honest people do not care, but when things are "tolerated", long-term tolerance but do not channel their emotions, it is easy to cause a big disaster.

Anger is one of the basic human emotions, feeling angry is a normal emotional experience, but the accumulation of anger is not the right approach.

Persistent negative emotions can upset the balance between excitation and inhibition in the cerebral cortex so that the scope of consciousness becomes narrow, judgment is weakened, the situation of delirium, and eventually make disorderly behavior.

3. Blind optimism

Honest, is a kind of blind optimism.

In Voltaire's short story "The Honest Man", the protagonist "The Honest Man" was originally blindly optimistic about life, but after experiencing a large number of natural and man-made disasters and social ills arranged for him by the author, "The Honest Man" also had to think and grow, becoming He slowly gives up his blind optimism and becomes moderate and practical.

Optimism can promote our health and happiness, but blind optimism is not a desirable thought.

Honest people often look for "stability" in life and work, and absolute stability, preferably unchanging.

Compared to others, think they stay in a job for a long time, do not compete, or self-improvement, when the storm comes, unprepared, only by the reality of the impact.

This blind optimism is sometimes a fantasy of being overconfident in one's ability, without preemptive measures, thinking that one can overcome everything.

Whether from a realistic or psychological point of view, it is more desirable to be prepared for danger than to be blindly optimistic.

4. Self-impediment

Honesty is the fear of failure.

Sometimes, people prevent themselves from success by setting up obstacles to achieve the purpose of self-protection.

Borgloss and Jones once experimented on "pills and intelligence tests".

Imagine that you are a subject who guessed an intellectual puzzle and was told by the experimenter that you were the highest scorer so far. When you are still reveling in how lucky you are, the experimenter provides two pills, one is to help your intellectual activity of the pill, and the other is to interfere with your intellectual activity of the pill, you must choose to take one of them, to carry out the following answer.

Most people chose the second pill, thus providing an excuse for their possible poor performance.

Honest people are characterized by following the rules and are afraid to break through, which is a barrier they put up for themselves.

The breakthrough means success or failure, because of the fear of failure, so choose to continue to follow the rules, at least this way, but also to maintain the image of honest people.

Honest, maybe a disguise; honest, may also be an illusion.

Never make friends with such honest people, and don't do things to provoke them.

Of course, there are many really simple, hard-working, kind-hearted people in life, and they are very comfortable to get along with.
