So when she finished eating, Sandy got her breakfast dishes together, put them on the counter, then bent down and opened the cabinet under the sink because that’s where she kept her bucket full of cleaning supplies complete with the big rubber gloves that seemed to come hanging from the spout of the big bucket. Taking out all of the cleaning supplies and placing them on the countertop , she then found the Murphy’s Oil Soap and filled the bucket with appropriate concoction then placed it on the floor by the back patio, propping the mop on the French window paned patio door. She then walked back over to the counter got the mister full of thieves solution and started spraying the countertops. Realizing she had a buncha different aromas goin on all at once she puttered over to the patio door, moved the bucket to the side and opened the door to let the breeze in.

She then puttered over to her center island where she had her coffee and checked her email in the morning and clicked a few buttons on her laptop to turn on some nineties R&B music so that she could get a lit bit of dancin in while she cleaned.

The song “Stay” filled her little bungalow. Although, the 1978 version by Rufus will always be a classic, the 1997 Live version by Erykah Badu was the version that would more often that not have Sandy lipsyncin into a mop or broom handle. Sometimes even a rogue empty paper towel roll would all become her mock microphone for her mock concert, cause Sandy knew better than to try to sing out loud.

Even in private.

The shower…

Anywhere

Ever.

Never you mind the fact that she hated the thought of listening to music while she was in the shower.

It gave her the creeps actually.

Sure she enjoyed the peaceful serenity of soaking in the tub, but she had to leave the door open. She wasn’t sure how she made the distinction between these two options, but if Sandy were ever attacked in the shower , she would rather hear, see or sense it coming rather than not see it coming at all.

And that was an odd think to think about while she was cleaning….

…And dancin around the bungalow while play acting the video that may or may not have accompanied the song playing. This way she could check for anything that was off center or out of place.

And since summer was fast approaching, Sandy thought it would be neat to turn her little patio area into a serene oasis complete with a faux palm or two and some lights that faded in and out reminiscent of moonlight dancin on the water.

That day Sandy opened up the patio lounge with two pillow topped patio chairs and a rolling wicker cart in between them for the end table. In the drawers she would store, napkins, incense, citronella tea light candles, and some natural essential oil mix that deters mosquitoes. Another drawer had smoking essentials such as lighters, an astray and since her moods were fluctuating and causing Sandy pause, she decided to go ahead and ask her doctor about the medicinal marijuana program and if it would be a good fit for her, she kept her cones, sticks, and a rolling tray in the drawer for accessibility. She never smoked in the bungalow grounds though; she always took a walk. Because of Minnie and because she didn’t want to draw unnecessary attention to herself with the smell. So since one healing remedy didn’t cause unwanted attention, the cute wiggly one with the fur started somethin by gettin loose that day.

Speakin of gettin loose, that’s what Sandy was doin when she got to hangin her plants up on the porch. She had to be careful though because her balance wasn’t always too steady on the little wood stool she made in wood shop in the eight grade…

“I thought I was the only nerd that kept my woodshop project…the familiar baritone almost shook Sandy off the stool and back on her bottom…

…again
