WHY THIS PROBLEM STATEMENT?

For newborns, kids, and adults, milk is their main source of nutrients. The nutritional value of milk is directly impacted by its quality, and this has an effect on consumers' health and wellbeing. High-quality milk offers the vital nutrients needed for growth and development whereas low-quality milk can cause health problems like food poisoning, bacterial infections, and allergic responses.

The nutritional content of milk may vary depending on its quality. It is possible to make sure that milk has the vitamins and minerals that are essential for human health by analyzing its quality. Consumers are protected by milk quality analysis since it makes sure they are getting what they paid for. It is crucial to ensure that milk fits the requirements if it is branded as being of a particular quality. The market value of milk may vary depending on its quality. Producers and distributors may make sure they are offering a high-quality product that can fetch a premium price by analyzing the quality of milk.

The time-consuming and labor-intensive techniques used in conventional methods for evaluating milk quality render them ineffective and error-prone. With the development of technology, it is now possible to automate the process of checking milk quality and provide real-time monitoring and analysis of milk quality. To assure the safety and quality of milk and milk products, safeguard consumer health, maintain economic value, and adhere to regulatory criteria, quality analysis of milk is necessary.

WORK FLOW:

1. Collecting milk quality data using sensor:

PH sensor: Low PH values mean that the milk is more acidic, which could mean that it has become contaminated with germs or has spoiled.

Temperature sensor: While milk that is too cold might compromise the flavor and quality, milk that is too warm can spoil more quickly.

Color sensor: The freshness and quality of the milk can be determined by looking at its color. If the milk is discolored, for instance, that can be a sign of bacterial development or other pollution.

Lactometer: The milk's density can reveal information about its fat content and general quality.

2. Connecting the sensors with IoT:

The Arduino board is linked to the Wi-Fi module. Data from the Wi-Fi module is configured to be received by an IoT platform or server.

Typically, this entails creating an API or data endpoint where the Wi-Fi module can deliver data.

3. Analyzing milk data using Machine Learning Algorithm:

The test module is trained using known milk quality.

The model learns the patterns and relationships between the data and the milk samples.

Once the model is trained, it can be used to predict the type of milk based on new data.

4. Website with interactive dashboard to present the milk quality data:

A website to show the real-time data capture by the sensors and the grade of the Milk is made. 

Graphical representation of data over a period is used to compare the performance of different variables or groups over time.

The website consists of tables to show the PH, Temperature, Color, Lactose content of the milk and graphs to showcase the analysis obtained from the Machine Learning Algorithm.

The website is made using HTML, CSS, JavaScript for Frontend and Django for Backend. The website is connected to MySQL Database

Dairy producers and processors may cut waste and enhance their processes by analyzing milk and identifying areas for improvement. For instance, producers can increase milk quality by culling cows that give poor-quality milk or changing their feeding schedule.

The project will allow veterinarians to keep an eye on the health of the cows and spot any symptoms of illness or disease that might reduce the quality of the milk

In order to increase milk output and quality, dairy farmers can utilize the milk analysis project to check the quality of their milk and modify their breeding and feeding plans.

The initiative may be used by milk processors to check the quality of incoming milk and make sure it complies with their criteria. Additionally, they can cut waste by using the data to enhance their processing conditions

The project can be used by food safety inspectors to monitor milk safety and stop outbreaks of foodborne illness.

Conclusion:

As we know that milk is one of the essential source of calcium plays a major role in our day to day life it essential for a individual to ask a good quality milk and to gain his/her rights for a good quality milk .
