That strange drifter was very considerate to give me this book. He must have noticed I love to write or I must have said something out loud and he heard. What is that inscription on the inside cover? This would be a good journal; nice, black, and small. I think I will write in every page. What…is…happening…how did this pen just appear right after I wrote that…out of thin air? It can’t be.

Muffin…okay, this is scary. Maybe I should find another journal.

I don’t need much in life. I enjoy the quiet things. A little cash would be nice, though.

I can’t believe this book was just lying in the street. Lucky I went to visit my grandma in Florida or who knows where it would have ended up. I can’t believe that guy took Barb and she still got home safe. We heard he killed like 17 guys over in California…some guy named Jeffery. I don’t know what I would have done without Barb or this book. She could have been a goner, I think.

This book is amazing. I don’t know what I would do without it. I wonder where this book even came from…like WHO made this book?! Thankfully there are so many pages for me to use for my whole life. What else do I want? Hmmm…ugh GOD I HATE PEOPLE. Plague sounds good to me!
