Surprising news hit us earlier today when it was announced that popular media personality Bobrisky has been arrested for "naira mutilation" because Bob was spraying money at an event.

While some people have celebrated the arrest because of their personal hatred for Bobrisky, others are voicing the obvious hypocrisy of the arrest seeing as Bob wasn't the only one spraying money, even at that event alone. A number of Nigerian celebrities have even taken to their social media platforms to speak out the ordeal. Here's what they said.

SAMKLEF

Nigerian blogger and media personality Samklef, who doesn't seem to like Bobrisky personally, still had to call out the hypocrisy in Bob's arrest saying:

SAMKLEF: Dear @officialEFCC pls if u must arrest shim idris (bobrisky) pls also arrest all the celebrities doing the same thing. Say no to selective prosecution. Go after everybody wey Dey spray money and take dem mugshots like bobrisky own.

AISHA YESUFU

Activist and popular media personality Aisha Yesufu called out the hypocrisy in Bobrisky's arrest pointing out how people are so easy to turn their eyes against one thing, but go all in on another when they're personally against one. She said:

AISHA YESUFU: Cross dressers were all over Kano before Bobrisky was conceived. Bobrisky still has things to learn from the original ones in Kano who don’t need surgery to transform. Yeah let’s continue with the hypocrisy and make it a now thing.

You remember Islam is against it on cross dressing and Bobrisky but you do not remember Islam is against it on begging, children abandoned on the streets, refusal to pay child support, stealing public funds, and so many other things? Calm down sha! It is not by how much you mouth it!

They are at it again! All the looting of public funds is not haram where hisbah is. Murja and Bobrisky is where they draw the line on haram.

I just hate hypocrisy. Nobody is above the law in Islam but to hisbah some are above the law

DAN DIZZY

Musician Dan Dizzy also spoke about the speed with which police was able to arrest Bobrisky because they wanted to, expressing how they don't go as speedily when it comes to people in political seats. He said:

DAN DIZZY: Police Dey always active for entertainers matter, but them go dey drag leg if nah politician.
