Elizabeth Dad Chuck

Chuck Potthast, the father of 90 Day Fiancé actress Elizabeth "Libby" Potthast, recently stated that he has cancer and has been fighting it for some time.

Chuck first came to public attention when his daughter Libby was featured in a documentary about her struggle to bring her now-husband, Andrei Castravet, to the United States on a K1 visa.

Since then, he has played a key part in the program, usually as a protective father to his seven children. Libby and Andrei, who married in both nations, now reside in Florida and have a daughter called Eleanor.

On-screen, Chuck's life has not been easy. His early mistrust of 90 Day Fiancé star Andrei and his intentions for Libby to leave his husband , have led in several on-screen fight and heartbreaking family moments.

Andrei's quick temper has often resulted in fight with numerous of Libby's siblings, some of whom work together in their father's real estate firm.

During one of the most heated family gatherings on the show, Andrei and Libby's brother almost clashed, and Chuck burst into tears about the condition of his children's relationships. Jenn and Becky, Libby's sisters, are often at the forefront of the dispute due to their own doubts about Andrei's motivations.

According to All About The Tea, a new preview segment of 90 Day Diaries depicts Chuck disclosing his cancer diagnosis. He didn't say what kind of cancer he has or how it's hurting his ability to operate his company, but admirers rushed to express their support to the family patriarch.

Chuck's most recent Instagram post shows him in excellent spirits, celebrating the birthday of his son-in-law Andrei with a video of the two dancing together.

One user Commented : "I hope it’s not one of the really bad cancers !!"

Is there a Good or Bad Cancer ?

What do you think is the difference between terrible and good cancer ?

As a patient at a cancer facility, I have three separate malignancies that are all stage 4, and I have never once heard another patient comment, "at least I don't have the horrible type." It's degrading, and you clearly haven't seen what cancer patients go through in order to attempt to live even one more day in their battle against the disease. It's a heinous crime against humanity. Chuck is in my thoughts and prayers.

It's unclear if Chuck has reconciled with daughter Becky (for threatening to go into business against him) or son Charlie (who often clashes with Andrei and Libby).

Since the uncomfortable reveal, neither has shown on Chuck's Instagram account, where he seems to be the most active when it comes to posting on social media. His feed has recently been flooded with postings expressing gratitude to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Several of the Potthast children are quite volatile, particularly when it comes to their father's spending habits. Libby and Andrei have enraged Charlie, Jenn, and Becky, who frequently complain that Chuck is funding the couple's lavish lifestyle.

Chuck, who plainly wants everyone to get along, must be incredibly stressed and unhappy by this family's proclivity for bickering, getting in each other's faces, and publicly insulting one other. Fans of 90 Day Fiancé are hoping that Chuck's children will put their differences aside and help him get through this health crisis.

--------

We know It's horrible news. I wish him the best of luck. The stress that his children added to his life couldn't have helped either. Chuck, best of luck.
