MAVIN is by far the biggest and most popular music group out of Nigeria today. It is the most popular record label and has also seen a number of big stars go through its doors. MAVIN has been home to a number of big musicians over the years including Tiwa Savage, Dr. Sid, Korede Bello, Reekado Banks, and more.

These days, there is a new crop of MAVIN members. In fact, they just released a joint album and did a joint MAVIN performance in Lagos. The current members of the MAVIN team include Ayra Starr, Ladipoe, Bayanni, Crayon, Boy Spyce, Magixx, Johnny Drille, and Rema.

Today, I thought it'd be fun to check out some throwback pictures of our favorite Mavin members. So, without further ado, let's dive right in!

1. Magixx

First of is "All Over" and "Love Don't Cost a Dime" crooner, Magixx. Before getting on the MAVIN team, Magixx was already trying to pursue a musical career. Here is a throwback shot from an old single cover he did before joining MAVIN.

2. Bayanni

Just like Magixx, Bayanni too didn't first join MAVIN before he started putting out music. The singer was already pursuing music under a different stage name. Back then, he used to perform under the stage name Zhenoboy. Here is a throwback picture of him during that time.

3. Ladipoe

Just like both Magixx and Bayanni, Ladipoe too wasn't waiting around for Don Jazzy to discover him before he started pursuing music. Ladipoe has been doing music for a very very long time now, having content that dates way back to 2015 and beyond. He used to perform under the stage name of 'Poe' before becoming Ladipoe after signing to MAVIN. Here is a throwback picture of Ladipoe from his Poe days.

4. Boy Spyce

Boy Spyce is another one of the new MAVIN acts that we the people are loving. Before his signature blond hair and distinctive look we know today, Boy Spyce was just a regular boy who used to post covers and freestyles online before capturing the attention of Don Jazzy and becoming a MAVIN. Here is a popular still from one of Boy Spyce's throwback cover videos.

5. Johnny Drille

Johnny Drille today is enjoying a steady fanbase and known for releasing quality music since joining MAVIN. But did you know that Johnny Drille was also a contestant on sixth season of Project Fame West Africa all the way back in 2013? Yup! Here is a throwback picture of Johnny all the way back from then.

6. Ayra Starr

Ayra Starr is definitely one of the biggest stars today out of the MAVIN record label. With bangers like "Bloody Samaritan" and "Rush", she is donimating the airwaves today. But before Ayra Starr became Ayra Starr, she was an upcoming singer putting up covers and songs on her social media pages. Here is a throwback picture from one of those old Instagram videos.

7. Rema

One of the biggest exports from the band, Rema is a superstar. But before the hits, and the world tours he's doing today, 15 year old Rema was part of a musical duo with singer Alpha-T and they were working based out of Benin City. Here is an image from Rema's 2015 appearance on Channels TV when he was still in the duo.
