1. He Was From Rivers State

Even though the name Charles Granville sounds very western and foreign, the late actor was indeed a full son of the soil. His full name was Charles Alexander Atombosoba Granville, and he was from Rivers State. He died on Thursday, September 21st, after a protracted illness.

2. He Was an Ambassador of Peace

Charles Granville was not just an actor, he also lived his life in service to others and was appointed the International Peace and Governance Council (IPGC)'s Special Envoy to ECOWAS. It was a role created to promote peace and unity in Africa - and if that gives us any insight into the kind of man Charles Granville was, that means he was a man of peace who liked to also help others.

3. He Was Also a Doctor

Not a medical doctor, but an honorary doctor. In May of 2022, Charles Granville received an honorary doctorate degree from Highstone International University in California, USA. It was a very happy and proud day for the actor and the recognition was given as a testament to his accomplishments in industry.

4. He Was Also a Musician

Charles Granville utilized a lot of talents he had during his time in this world. In addition to his humanitarian work, acting work, and doctorate degree, Charles Granville was also a musician and released a full body of work called Ti Ti Lai Lai along with other singles. The most popular songs by the singer include "Jene Jene", "Oboma", "Love Nwatiti", "By My Side" and more.

5. He Was a Prolific Actor

This list will be incomplete if Charles Granville's work as an actor isn't recognized. It was what he was most notable for and during his life, Charles Granville got to work alongside some of Nollywood's greatest including Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Hilda Dokubo, and more. He also starred in a number of blockubster productions including "Last Flight to Abuja", "Thirty Pieces of Silver", "Locked", and the long running "Tinsel".

It is so devastating reporting the passing away of people. May the soul of Charles Granville rest in perfect peace, and all my thoughts, prayers, and love go out to his family and his loved ones during this time. It is well.

That's All.
