Bola Tinubu has been announced today as the winner of the 2023 General Elections and Nigeria's current incumbent president. Throughout this time, public support for Tinubu has been met with a lot of backlash and disdain, but even despite that, a number of Nigerian celebrities have still come out to support the politician with their full chest. Here are 12 Nigerian celebrities you didn't know support Bola Tinubu.

1. Dammy Krane

Nigerian musician Dammy Krane upon the announcement of Bola Tinubu as president of Nigeria earlier today took to his Instagram account to show his support. He posted a video that shows him together with Tinubu as a celebratory song about Bola Tinubu plays over it.

2. Eniola Badmus

One actress who has also been very outspoken about her love and support of Bola Tinubu is Nollywood actress, Eniola Badmus. A few weeks ago, Eniola Badmus made a post on social media saying: "Let it be known that if Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu wins this election, it’s not because his party is the ruling party. It’s because of the faith Nigerians have in him personally." Since then, she has gone on to even showcase the asoebi she selected for the celebration and swearing-in ceremony of Tinubu when he wins, and according to a recent social media post, she has begun distribution of the asoebi.

3. Joke Silva

Another actress who has been very vocal about her support for Bola Tinubu is Nollywood veteran, Joke Silva. She has in the last weeks leading up to the election been very vocal about her prayers and support for Tinubu. Upon the announcement of his winning, she took to social media to post a video of Tinubu writing "Congratulations!!!! Congratulations Nigeria. We live in a country where we’re able to vote. Despite the myriad challenges we faced, we have a new President-Elect. 🌟🥂🌟"

4. Toyin Abraham

Yet another actress who has been very outspoken even amidst backlash about her love and support of Tinubu is Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham. Just recently, she posted pictures of herself with Tinubu writing: "For the first time, I met the incoming president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and he shared some of his Ideas, Visions and Strategy to solve the challenges before us, as a Nation. Listening to him indeed renewed my hope and reaffirmed why he is my choice. Jagaban is coming!"

5. Bimbo Akintola

Another actress who made her support of Bola Tinubu well known is actress, Bimbo Akintola. When Bimbo appeared on TVC's Your View, she opened up about her support towards Bola Tinubu saying: "I'm with the PCC, I'm working for Asiwaju. Normally, I don't share my politics or what I believe on social media but because of the way people are attacking others, I said no. We won't be bullied. Every Nigerian has the right to make a choice. Asiwaju builds talent. He finds people who can do things. I know he has a vision for Nigeria and for me, that's what's key. Where we are right now, if you don't have a vision for the country, you shouldn't try to serve. He has a vision."

6. Brymo

Nigerian singer Brymo is another man who has been very vocal about his support for Tinubu. Brymo said in an interview with The Punch: "I am not supporting Bola Tinubu just because I am a Yoruba man from Lagos. My choice cannot be bought. It (my support) is voluntary, and I want my vote to count, like every other Nigerian"

7. Desmond Elliott

Nollywood actor and politician Desmond Elliott is another celebrity who is a staunch supporter of Bola Tinubu. Earlier today, upon the announcement of Tinubu as the new president of Nigeria, Desmond Elliott was out on the street celebrating and supporting Tinubu's win. He captioned his post: "Congratulations Naija. Renewed Hope !!! JAGABAN Hope Renewed !!!"

8. Zack Orji

Another actor who showed his complete support to Tinubu during this period is Nollywood veteran Zack Orji. In a video circulated around the internet, Zack Orji said in part "My support for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is both experiential and personal."

9. 9ice

Nigerian singer 9ice also showed his support for Bola Tinubu publicly saying that he supports Tinubu because according to him, "while performing at a show, the former governor asked one of his boys to get my number" which meant a lot to him. He said "it’s not easy for a person of such repute in a crowded area to pick interest in an artiste, let alone collecting his phone number" which is the major reason why he supports Tinubu.

10. Gentle Jack

Another actor who has showed his full support to Bola Tinubu is actor, Gentle Jack, who in a circulated video online voiced out his support the politician.

11 & 12. Pasuma and Small Doctor

Fuji musician, Pasuma, in October of last year expressed his support for Bola Tinubu when he joined hundreds of youths to rally for Bola Tinubu. Among the rally too was fellow Nigerian musician, Small Doctor who has also been vocal about his support for Bola Tinubu.
