**INT. KITCHEN – MORNING**

The sun had barely risen over the sleepy town of Whiskerville when Sarah Robinson, a young mother with tired eyes, stood at the stove making breakfast. The smell of bacon and eggs filled the air, but something felt off. Her son, Tommy, burst into the kitchen, still in his pajamas.

"Morning, Tommy! Have you seen Mittens?" Sarah asked, trying to keep her voice steady.

Tommy shook his head. "No, Mom. I thought she was in my room, but she's not there."

A frown creased Sarah's forehead. Mittens, their fluffy gray cat, was always there for breakfast, winding around her legs, meowing impatiently. Sarah glanced out the window, half-expecting to see Mittens lounging in the sun, but there was no sign of her.

"That's strange. She's always here for breakfast," Sarah murmured.

**EXT. NEIGHBORHOOD – LATER**

Sarah and Tommy stepped outside, the crisp morning air biting at their skin. Neighbors were already gathered, talking animatedly. Mrs. Johnson, an elderly lady with a hunched back, was in tears.

"What's going on?" Sarah asked, approaching Mrs. Johnson.

"It's Whiskers. He's gone. Just like that. And it’s not just him—every cat in the neighborhood has vanished!" Mrs. Johnson wailed.

Mr. Smith, a burly man with a gruff demeanor, joined the conversation. "I can’t find Garfield either. This is bizarre."

Tommy clutched Sarah’s hand, his eyes wide with fear. "Mom, do you think something bad happened to them?"

"I don't know, sweetie," Sarah said, trying to stay calm. "Let's ask around."

**EXT. JOE'S GARAGE – SAME TIME**

Joe, the local mechanic, was examining a car door with a set of enormous, scary teeth smashed into it. Sheriff Mitchell, a tall, stern man with a no-nonsense attitude, arrived, called in by a concerned resident.

"Take a look at this, Sheriff," Joe said, gesturing to the door. "What do you make of it?"

Sheriff Mitchell frowned as he inspected the teeth. "Those are some big teeth. Too big for any animal around here."

"I found it this morning. No idea how it got there," Joe said, scratching his head.

"We’ll need to get this checked out. Something’s not right," Sheriff Mitchell said, his eyes narrowing.

**EXT. TOWN SQUARE – LATE MORNING**

A crowd had gathered in the town square, buzzing with nervous energy. The mayor, an authoritative yet approachable figure, stepped up to address the townsfolk.

"Everyone, please!" the mayor called out, raising his hands to calm the crowd. "I understand you're all worried. We're doing everything we can to figure out what happened to your cats."

A voice from the crowd shouted, "What about the teeth on that car door?"

The mayor's expression turned serious. "Sheriff Mitchell is investigating that as we speak. We'll keep you updated as we learn more. For now, please stay vigilant and report anything unusual."

**INT. SARAH’S LIVING ROOM – EVENING**

The atmosphere in Sarah's living room was tense. She sat on the couch with Tommy and her husband, John, who had just returned from work.

"Did you hear anything last night?" John asked Sarah, his face lined with concern.

Sarah shook her head. "Nothing. It was just like any other night."

Tommy, looking up at his parents with wide eyes, asked, "Do you think Mittens is okay?"

John tried to reassure him. "We’ll find her, Tommy. We just need to figure out what’s going on."

"We should keep the windows and doors locked tonight. Just to be safe," Sarah suggested.

John nodded. "Good idea. We'll get through this together."

**EXT. WHISKERVILLE – NIGHT**

The town was eerily quiet under the moonlight. Shadows danced on the empty streets, creating an unsettling atmosphere. An air of unease hung over Whiskerville as residents locked their doors, hoping for answers come morning.

**INT. SHERIFF MITCHELL'S OFFICE – LATE NIGHT**

Sheriff Mitchell and Deputy Lane, a young and eager officer, poured over maps and notes, determined to solve the mystery.

"What could’ve taken all those cats, Sheriff? And those teeth—what kind of creature leaves those behind?" Deputy Lane asked, his voice tinged with fear.

Sheriff Mitchell leaned back in his chair, his eyes dark with worry. "I don’t know, Lane. But we’re going to find out. Let’s keep an eye on the town tonight. Maybe we’ll catch something in the act."
