The Haunted School

Upon the north east oceans of Japan, there is an abandoned mining colony known as Battleship Island, which has been left completely derelict since 1974. This place is very reminiscent of Chernobyl, the buildings are crumbling to pieces, it is severely overgrown with roots, grass and trees. Wild animals roam this once bustling island, which housed many residents in it's now creepy apartment blocks, which stand tall and grey in the darkness like long abandoned castles of old. It is a place, that is already unsafe to dare venture, yet some have been more foolish than others. There are urban explorers who've illegally trespassed into this island, taking photos, recordings and enjoying the thrill of exploring a complete ghost town. What many of them don't expect to encounter however, are the ghostly spirits that dwell within this long forgotten place. Of all the places that Battleship Island hides, there is one building in particular, that has in time become legend. That is of the lone school, which stands upon the island's shore.

The school in question is supposedly haunted, and many disturbing tales have stemmed from this legend. Although we truly determine whether or not these tales are of truth or fiction. They are still none the less horrifying and will surely keep you all night, after hearing the nightmares that have come to life.

Most infamous of which, is the weeping girl, who appears to be soaking wet, with her long black hair, hanging down, touching the floor. Her skin is bloated and pale, a mixture of green and white tones, as moss grows from her once tender flesh. Many who have first heard this girl crying, soon meet the terrifying entity face to face. It has been spotted climbing the corridor walls like a spider, especially around the toilets of the school, where is believed she had been drowned, perhaps by another school bully. Nobody knows who this girl was, or if this myth is even real, but it is something none of us would wish to ever see. She tends to avoid visitors who dare enter the school, only watching them from afar, before scurrying off like some scared spider, the moment you make eye contact. Her limbs are far longer and slender, than those of a regular person, so you'd believe you saw a human sized arachnid, after witnessing her climbing. Some have unfortunately seem her face, it is a mangled mess of scars and black bruises, her eyes supposedly shine an intimidating red.

Others have heard the shouting of teachers in derelict classrooms, you can make out individual names and words, when listening closely. Yet it is truly unnerving to witness for yourself, as many trespassers felt as though the ghostly teachers were yelling at them, somehow knowing they didn't belong here. Another ghost hunter claims to have actually seen a walking corpse, holding a cane in his hands, marching through the dark corridors. Almost like it was out to punish those who shouldn't be there.

A woman once found herself unable to leave the school once, as a hundred invisible hands grabbed at her waist, holding her back from exiting. This has the most terrifying tale of all. Her clothes were ripped by the ghosts, which meant she could feel their bones and battered, cold flesh against her warm skin. She heard them plead; "please don't leave us!" and, "it's so lonely here, don't go!" It was the cries of children, whose spirits were trapped within this haunted school, "the teachers are so cruel!" Another voice wept. The woman in question somehow managed to break free, fleeing the school, with half her clothes torn to pieces. We know this, because there was once a now deleted video of the event, which was online, as she was with her husband, who filmed the whole thing on his camcorder. Again, this could've been easily faked, yet her screams for help seemed far too genuine to be acting.

The unspoken horrors that must have gone on inside that old school, are mysterious and must be unspeakable. History has proven that old school teachings were rather cruel in nature, where disobedient children were beaten badly and verbally abused regularly. There may have even been a series of brutal bullying too, as many believe the weeping girl was drowned and the ghostly teachers still feel immensely frightening, even for adults. Whatever dwells within that old school, you'd be far better off, never entering that godforsaken place!
