The story revolves around Uncle Yunus, the eldest of four siblings, who had studied up to matriculation. He was friendly with Nazim and was interested in forty acres of land. After Jonana's death, he arranged with Patwari and Tehsildar to get his name. When the other siblings found out, they asked for their share of land. Uncle refused to give the land, claiming it was given to him before his death.

Uncle took the elders of the village and explained that they all had an equal share in their father's land. They told the uncle to give his brothers and sisters their share of land, and Allah would be pleased. However, the uncle remained stubborn.

Frustrated, he won the court battle, and the income from the land was a good amount. Two acres of land were uninhabited, and people thought a good servant of Allah was buried in an old grave. This led to Chaudhry Yunus' crop having a higher average than other people.

Life is a test of patience and gratitude, and those who succeed in this test will have a better life in this world and the hereafter. Those who ignore the importance of patience and gratitude will fail in both this world and the hereafter.

The story revolves around a greedy uncle who plans to settle an uninhabited land for cultivation, hoping to increase his income. He informs his minister Liaqat about his intentions and they begin leveling the land in eight to ten days. However, the elders of the village warn him not to disturb the people living there, as there is a good servant of Allah buried there or an invisible creature living there. They stop the work, but an unseen force comes to the uncle, warning him that their uninhabited land is their abode and they will suffer great loss.

The uncle's son Haris returns to the village after leaving his education incomplete, and he also plans to flatten the land. Haris tells his father that an invisible creature lives there and describes the incident that happened to him. Haris tells his father that these ghostly things are lies and that they have nothing to do with reality. They must settle their land and not occupy someone else's land, which will be their loss.

The uncle becomes worried after hearing Haris's words and tries to explain it to his son. However, when the tractors start working, the village is engulfed by dust and darkness, and only the mosque is safe from the storm. A loud explosion at the grave site destroys the working tractors, and the people threaten to erase their name and mark, destroying their peace and tranquility.

As the muezzin starts the Zuhr call to prayer, peace is restored. The people of the village rush towards the mosque, where they appeal to the imam for prayer. The imam apologizes for the mistake and asks for forgiveness for Chaudhry Sahib. An old man dressed in white appears, saying that the children of Adam are the product of God, the Exalted, and the Most High. They are creatures lost in themselves and do not trouble anyone for no reason.

The imam explains that their religion is Islam, which teaches peace, tranquility, tolerance, patience, the straight path, truth, and justice. The character of Yunus and his son is revealed, and they have turned them from man to beast. The imam forgives the people out of fear of God, but they will never forgive Chaudhry Yunus and his son, who have shed the blood of their dreams and destroyed their settlement.
