That Night..
My first-time for making a scary ghost story
The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window.
Sounds strange, doesn't it?
It was very quiet these days.
Day and night.
It was quite warm during the summer.
It gets colder during the evening, even when the sun sets.
The cabin has been rustic with many old painted chipped wood for a while.
The cicadas are singing.
The sun has already set.
The owls who.
The wolves are howling.
The stars are beginning to appear in the sky.
The sky is turning from pure warmest orange to the coolest purple colors.
Then, the sky is getting darker soon.
But, not yet.
The woods are still quiet that night.
Out of nowhere, there was a big blue car driving by.
Four friends were traveling for their vacation after the final exams. The four friends were all young college women.
Their names were Meggie, Sophie, Alison, and Kathy.
They have been driving for two and a half hours.
They were all laughing, chit-chatting, and telling funny stories, and jokes all day long.
They were all very excited!
Meggie turned the wheels.
Alison is in the passenger seat.
Kathy and Sophie were in the back seat.
The wheels are turning sharp on the road.
Then, the wheels drove through the woods to the bumpy trails.
Bump! Bump! Bump! Thud! Thud! Thud!
The bumpy roads are very hard, at least Meggie drives very gently. But still, the travelers were bumping each other.
Up and down. Up and down.
BITE!
“Ow!” Sophie accidentally bit her lip and inside of her cheek while chewing gum.
Then, it bleeds on her lip.
And now– Splash!
The water just splashed out of the bottle into Kathy’s face.
It also got wet on her shirt.
‘Meggie, are we there yet? We're wet and bleed.” Sophie complains.
“Soon,” Meggie responds patiently.
“Look! We're almost there”.
Until that night, when they arrived at the cabin.
They came out of the car.
They stretch their limbs for a long ride.
They grab their bags out of the car.
They walked on the patio.
The door opens.
All four of them enter the cabin.
Inside the cabin, it looks very rustic and antique.
The candle still lightens up since they arrived.
‘This place is giving me the creep,” said Sophie.
Without a warning, it was freezing inside.
They are carrying their bags and holding their LED lanterns to explore each room.
Meggie explores the kitchen.
Alison explores the upstairs bedroom.
Kathy explores each of the two bathrooms.
Sophie explores the living/dining room.
They were walking quietly. They tip-toe on the wrecked old wooden floors.
CREEK. CREEK. CREEK. CREEK.
Steps 1, 2, 3. Steps 1, 2, 3.
The wooden floors are still creaking.
Then, all of them went up to the master bedroom.
The candle just lights out from the strong wind blasts.
SWOOSH!
It got dark.
Everything is turned into darkness.
It looked even scarier when it was pitch black in the deep woods.
The wind sounds like howling ghosts through the woods.
Each of the doors shut!
SLAM! BAM! SLAM!
How scarier can it be?
Probably.
Then, a strange childish laugh and weird giggles appeared.
The spooky ghosts appear.
They looked like the creepy toy clowns from the storybook.
The ghosts were flying around the ceiling–twirling and twirling like a merry-go-round.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
The ghosts were Howling and moaning.
Then, the balloon mysteriously appeared.
It’s now approaching.
It flew slowly towards the girls.
It flew closer, closer, closer, closer, closer…..slowly….
POP!
The loudest pop ever heard!
They all screamed and were terrified!
‘AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!?”
‘HELP! HELP!”
“Oh my god!” Sophie cried.
‘Get us outta here!” Meggie screamed.
``The lights were out?!” Kathy shouted.
‘Where are you?!” Alison cried.
“Kathy! Alison! Sophie! Where are you?” Meggie screamed.
“HELP!” Everyone shouted.
Each of the girls tries to open the door. The door is still locked. They were kicking, shouting as loud and as hard as they could. Each of them was trapped like a rat in a cage.
Then, every door in each room where they were trapped has finally opened.
They ran out and were free. They catch their breath for relief.
Until Then, the strange squeaky sounds approach.
SQUEAK. SQUEAK. SQUEAK. SQUEAK.
Out of nowhere, the bats fly through the chimney to the fireplace.
The bats were flying intensely like a tornado.
Now the girls were screaming and terrified with extreme fear.
‘AHHHHHHHHH—-- LET'S GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!” Kathy screamed.
They ran!
They ran and ran as fast as they could!
They got into the car.
They turned in the gas—-and VROOM!
VROOM! VROOM!
And just like that, no one will ever go to the cabin in the woods–ever again.
The End.
