Little Boy Lost
The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. The light was very faint, flickering timidly, but the Boy extinguished it quickly, almost as soon as the tiny flame flared to life. He'd been very naughty to light the candle in the first place, but sometimes the night was so vast and dark, and he felt so small and alone. He wondered for the thousandth time where Father had gone and when he would return. He had no way to mark the passage of time but the rising and setting of the sun, and it seemed to him that a great many days had passed.

Robin Woods
The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window, as I got closer to get a glimpse of my reflection, the flame flickered, the candle disappeared into thin air and as I reached out to find the window, It just simply wasn’t there, I stung my hands with stinging nettles and with confusion, I backed away further down into the darkness of this illusion.

Lights Out
The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. A fierce light, that only fatality could diminish. Daring souls visited the woods of terror for thrills, unaware of the horror that lay ahead. Over the years the infamous woods created an uproar of fear around the community. Especially around Halloween. Somehow, this fear engendered an enticing feeling that always seemed to lure people in. Numerous visitors had come to the woods and were never to be seen again. Stories tell it, that the spirits still roam the land living in an eternity of limbo. Unequivocally, the most dangerous and wicked things are those that can’t be seen with naked eyes. Rather, it is the things that are buried within the shadows. Warning: Don’t let the fire go out.

The Strawberry Thief
The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. But that night the glimmer of light caught her eye.

The Creature
The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. Upon seeing the flickering light from the window, the neighbor Jim would decide to investigate and catch the trespassers in the act thinking that it would be some stupid kids. The crunching sound of freshly laid snow would become a deafening noise the closer he got towards the cabin fearing he would be caught he would begin to drag his feet leaving a long trail from his cabin to his destination. The closer he would come the more his heart would race and a strange feeling that he should run the other way would come over him as going to the cabin was not a good idea to be having on this night. Each dragging step would begin to feel heavier than the last and what would normally feel like a ten-minute walk to this cabin would begin to feel like it was taking hours to arrive at all while the candle would flicker tauntingly in the window.
