The Killer Couple
This is a fictional tale of a bizarre couple who love to kill, they're the last people you want a double date with! Couples like to do a lot of things together, they go on romantic dates, watch movies and embrace each other. It's cute, nice and cosy stuff that everyone loves to do with their significant other. Many go on holiday and see famous landmarks, enjoying the company they share. Introducing each other to their old friends and family. Most couples are friendly and fun to be around, yet there is one relationship out there, where you wouldn't want to be around them. This is the killer couple from New York, USA. Their names are Mr & Mrs Voorhees, yes they are aware of the irony, bet you didn't know they legally changed their second name just to sound more threatening. It is a wonder that they've never been caught, I guess they are experts at inventing alibis, nobody truly knows. However, what makes many believe they actually are killers, is the fact these two are always nearby whenever a brutal murder in the city is discovered. There is a tale, from the witness of a murder, who claimed to have seen the killer couple in the act. This was in 2023, during the month of October, when Halloween fever was all the talk. Many shops, bars and even restaurants, had spooky decorations up in their windows. Horror movies were promoted more regularly too, even social media influencers were discussing the creepy holiday online. Ruby West was living in a lower class apartment building in Brooklyn, she thought her life was horrendous enough. Living in the big apple, with millions of rushing, unfriendly people and thugs hiding in the darkest street corners. Life out here was nothing like the movies or fabulous advertisements suggested, there was little class or sophistication in the city to be seen. There were a few classy joints, but most of what you see on TV is simply promoting the place. You'll see this with any big city in the world, sure they have their landmarks and fancy places to visit, but beneath the veil, there is always dirt and often horror. That is what Ruby West soon encountered one rainy afternoon. There was a loud scream next door, it was blood curdling and distressing to hear. She dared to investigate, pulling out a pistol. This was very foolish, Ruby should've called the police instead, for what she saw was a sight she'd never forget! Mr & Mrs Voorhees fled the room, from where the screaming was heard, they were covered head to toe in blood. "St- st- stand... back!' Ruby trembled in fear, but the couple laughed and fearlessly charged for her, a bullet banged from Ruby's gun, but it hit the ceiling instead, she fell onto her back. The pistol dropped from her hands and down the stairs behind her, fortunately the blood soaked couple abandoned the area soon after, while Ruby cried in terror, shielding her face within her hands. The police came by soon after, and investigated the crime scene, it was the most brutal murder any of them had ever seen. A thousand stab wounds, skin peeled and the eyes of the victim were removed. Ruby was extraordinarily lucky not to meet a similar fate. None of them could fathom a reason why the killers would do this, or what the poor murder victim deserve to be put through this torture. Somehow the killer couple had escaped, CCTV footage did catch them leaving the area in a black car, but vanished into a dark alleyway and never resurfaced. It is believed they had another getaway vehicle hidden somewhere, one that was never detected or found much later. This mysterious couple still haunts the streets of New York, many have claimed to see them murder someone, only to once again getaway! A few police officers have even chased them, only for the two of them to escape some way or the other. The only hope, is that one day, maybe this year, the police will finally catch them. Yet that still doesn't undo the countless murders they have committed together, throughout the many, many years.

Whispering Woods: The Curse of Chalet
The gnarled fingers of twilight clawed at the dense canopy, casting long shadows upon the crumbling facade of the abandoned chalet. Legends, whispered like secrets on the wind, swirled around its weathered lumber - tales of a cursed past, a darkness that clung to its very foundation. Yet, for five teenagers, fueled by a potent mix of curiosity and youthful bravado, these were mere campfire stories. One misty evening, led by the fearless, but reckless, Ethan, the group - Maya, the ever-skeptical one, Ben, the joker of the pack, and the inseparable twins, Chloe and Liam - set off on their expedition. The forest floor, slick with rain, crunched under their sneakers as they pushed through the clinging undergrowth. The air, thick with the scent of decay, grew heavy, a tangible weight pressing down on their chests. Reaching the clearing, they stood before the imposing chalet. Loose boards gaped like open wounds, and a lone, shattered window offered a glimpse into the shadowed interior. An unsettling silence hung in the air, broken only by the creak of a loose shutter, a sound that sent shivers down their spines. Despite the prickling unease, Ethan, fueled by bravado, pushed open the creaking door. Inside, the scene was even more macabre. Dust motes swirled in the dim moonlight filtering through the broken window, painting the air an oppressive gray. Broken furniture lay sprawled across the floor, relics of a once-lively past. As they ventured further, their flashlights revealed cryptic symbols etched into the decaying floorboards and walls. These strange runes seemed to writhe and pulsate in the flickering light, as if imbued with a malevolent energy. Ignoring a rising sense of foreboding, they continued their exploration. The whispers began subtly, a faint murmur that seemed to originate from the very fabric of the aged chalet. As the night deepened, the whispers grew bolder, weaving themselves into a chilling melody of fear. Each whisper seemed to target a specific fear, a vulnerability harbored in the deepest recesses of their minds. Maya, plagued by the fear of being forgotten, heard whispers that mocked her insignificance. Ben, with his constant need to be the center of attention, heard taunts about his fading humor. Panic, a cold, slithering serpent, began to coil around their hearts. Shadows danced and morphed on the walls, morphing into grotesque shapes that mirrored their deepest fears. Ben, his bravado shattered, became the first to vanish. A choked scream, followed by an unsettling silence, was their only response. Panic surged through them. One by one, the teenagers disappeared, swallowed by the ever-encroaching darkness. Only Chloe remained, trembling in the corner of a dusty room. The whispers, now a cacophony of terror, surrounded her. With nowhere to run, she stumbled upon a hidden chamber tucked behind a crumbling tapestry. Inside, an flickering oil lamp cast an eerie glow on a dusty table, upon which lay an ancient tome. Its leather-bound cover was marred with strange symbols, similar to the ones etched on the walls. Desperation gnawed at Chloe. In a last-ditch effort, she flipped through the brittle pages. The words swam before her eyes - an arcane language filled with forbidden knowledge and powerful incantations. In her state of terror, driven by a primal need for survival, she began to speak the words aloud. The air crackled with an eerie energy. The chalet itself seemed to groan under the strain of an awakening presence. A tremor shook the ground as a dark entity, a vortex of pure terror manifested within the room. Chloe recoiled, but before she could react, the entity surged forward, its tendrils of darkness consuming her whole. As the first rays of dawn painted the sky in hues of gold and pink, the chalet stood silent once more. Its secrets remained hidden within its crumbling walls, waiting for the next unsuspecting soul to awaken its slumbering horrors. The whispers, however, had changed. A new voice, laced with a chilling triumph, had joined the chorus, forever echoing through the whispering woods.Start writing...

The Boy at The Football Stadium
I was called in with the forensic team of the local police after that tragedy. A day after the huge riot at the football stadium with over a hundred casualties – dead and wounded, there were many items that we needed to collect as evidence from all the litter scattered around. Used plastic bottles, shards of broken glass bottles, food wrappers, vomit stains, tear gas residue, blood ...

The Poisoner
Assassins have existed since the dawn of time, higher ups in society across the world desire to see those who wronged them dead! So killers are hired to eliminate the targets for wealth, typically money is the reward they seek. Most assassins use hidden blades, carried under their sleeves, quickly slashing their victims before blending in with the crowd again. Others use sniper rifles or other long range guns, shooting from afar or up close. The best assassins are subtle and sneaky, the greatest ones of all have never been caught! There are a disturbing number of ways you can kill a human, I obviously won't share any, not in this story so use your imagination. The point of this tale is to explore the most bizarre assassin to ever walk the planet, a killer who is still unknown but has committed a countless amount of murders across the globe. All of which include spiking or tampering with the victims food or drink. This would poison the target to the point of fatal illness, it happened to the most unlikely of people, as though this assassin had no true targets but simply killed for sport. Perhaps there were reasons he chose to kill these people, but it is a mystery that has been left unanswered for decades. Many believe there to be multiple Poisoner assassins throughout the years, the theory that is it no single man or woman makes a lot of sense. It is a theory many subscribe to. The targets killed range from cute couples, families or lone travellers, who visit exotic restaurants whilst on their holidays around the world. It is always detected to be either rat or ricin poisoning, that kills the victims. There have been numerous cases investigated, where CCTV has spotted strange chefs in kitchens, those who were never officially hired had slipped in a disguise and tampered with the food. They always wear the chef's scarf over their face, to hide their identity. The figure has been described as male, standing tall and athletic. To presume the killer is male, he has been spotted in bars too, a hooded figure with a balaclava, spiking drinks of people who later end up dead. Usually the police don't investigate until the killer has already committed his murder, so it seems they have long vanished before any trail can be found. Not to mention the amount of people who were at first presumed to have been food poisoned, where it was the restaurant or cafe found responsible for not properly serving well cooked food. Only for forensics to later discover the truth, which was far more sinister and purposeful. Nobody knows who this assassin is, or why they do the terrible things they do. They are presumed to be male, but even that is uncertain. The race or gender of the killer is not yet confirmed. No face has ever been identified. A pattern has not been detected either. The Poisoner is a ghost, an assassin so good, they always manage to slip through the cracks, what with their many disguises and hiding spots. One can only assume the assassin seeks out those with bounties upon their heads, do if you've angered the wrong person, someone high up in society, be sure to eat food from the supermarket instead. You'll never know if The Poisoner is after you or not, until it is too late! If you eat or drink anything that tastes off, you should probably bin that item and wash out your mouth, there's a good chance it may be dangerous to consume. Then you'd become another death, on a list of thousands.

They Walk Among Us: A Whisper in the Dirt
Sarah, a seasoned park ranger, squinted at the strange indentations in the red clay path. They weren't footprints, not exactly. Tridactyl, yes, but the spacing was wrong, the impressions too shallow. An unsettling shiver danced down her spine despite the Arizona sun beating down. It wasn't the first oddity she'd encountered this week. Missing livestock, a baffling pattern of flattened desert flora in geometric shapes – whispers amongst the ranchers hinted at something...alien.

Psychic Curse
Never anger a psychic, and don't you dare patronise or mock them, they will release a wrath so fierce upon you, it is almost cruel. Almost cruel because they typically only curse people who genuinely deserve it, terrible people who do nothing but wrong, are typically the ones who are cursed by psychics. In this tale, a foolish teenager tries to impress his girlfriend by trolling an old psychic lady at a gypsy carnival. This handsome boy will soon discover the true meaning of karma, I must warn you though, it isn't pretty!

Insect Man
The tale of Insect Man is a terrifying story of human experimentation, gone horribly wrong, resulting in an unfathomably grotesque abomination. It is about Ethan Clarke, an American scientist who was obsessed with comic books, more specifically; super hero comics were what he adored above anything else. Ever since he was a child, he always fantasised about having super powers and paranormal abilities, like those of flight or telekinesis. It seemed impossible, but that was until he saw the American body builders. Huge men and women, who could carry tree trunks above their shoulders, throw huge tires like frisbees and sprint in marathons for hours without getting exhausted. The human body can really achieve a lot of amazing feats, but not even the strongest, healthiest or fastest athlete on earth could match the sheer brilliance of a cosmic god from the pages of a classic comic book. So Ethan became a man of science, after reading stories about those who got powers through medical experimentation. He knew many super villains who got scarier powers by this method, such as an antagonist who remained permanently frozen, or an electricity powered monster, who needed batteries to stay alive. Of course, all of these stories were silly and over the top, but they still served as cautionary tales of science gone wrong. Ethan was well aware of this fact, as even real life experiments often resulted in horror, if not properly studied or administered correctly. So he had to be careful when attempting to create a real life super powered human, the idea was to enhance the biology of a man or woman, then hopefully the result would mean reaching extraordinary abilities unlike anything we've ever seen before.

The Forgotten Doll
In the heart of an ancient town, where time seemed to stand still, there stood a dilapidated mansion. Its weathered facade exuded an aura of mystery, its windows like empty eyes staring into the void of oblivion. The townsfolk whispered tales of the house, of the secrets it held within its decaying walls. But none dared to venture too close, for fear of awakening the darkness that lurked within.
