Ritual of Death
Fictional horror story about an occult related murder In 1962, a young boy was walking around the Scottish countryside of Killin Village, just enjoying the summer sun and the peacefulness of nature. High flying birds were dancing in the air together, forming in and out of pretty shapes. Trees stood sparsely around the green fields he walked on, there seemed to be nothing but hills, slopes and little ponds around the area. That was until he saw a makeshift cross made out of wood, looking similar to that of a grave, but not quite. He didn't know what to make of it, so the boy got curious and decided to check the site up close, only to immediately regret it. The stink assaulted his nostrils first, before he saw it. The corpse. It was a woman, naked with her throat slit open, leaning limply upon the wooden structure. The boy cried and fled back into the village of Killin, he returned to his cottage and punched the door instead of knocking. His father slammed the door open, not expecting this rude visitor to be his teary eyed son.

The Taffy Mafia. Content Warning.
People are calling them the Taffy Mafia, which is cute, but I don’t know if cute is a good thing for the little monsters. They come around in packs, reaching and grabbing at you, mewling with their scratchy voices, and sure, it would be cute in two dimensions, on a screen, or drawn up in a comic strip. But when you’re surrounded by a feral pack of little girls hell-bent on forcing you to buy cheap-ass taffy, I gotta say, it’s pretty god damned scary.

The Mystery of Blackwood: Chapter 23
The wind whispered through the rows of headstones as Jack stood motionless before the twin graves of Emma and Alice; twins that came so close to being triplets. His hands, usually steady from years of handling delicate paranormal detection equipment, trembled slightly as he laid a bouquet of white lilies on each grave—silent symbols of the purity and bravery his friends had embodied.

The Mystery of Blackwood: Chapter 22
The dim light of dawn barely penetrated the grimy windows of the asylum as Jack's team methodically collected their scattered equipment. The weight of sleepless nights hung heavily on their shoulders, manifesting in sluggish gestures and drawn faces shadowed under the flickering fluorescent lights. Cables were coiled with less precision than usual, digital recorders and cameras slipped into padded cases with sighs rather than the customary care.
