The lady, still reeling from her recent breakup, dialed her ex-boyfriend's number with shaky hands. She waited anxiously for him to pick up, but the call went straight to voicemail. She left a message, asking him to call her back as soon as possible. She hung up the phone, feeling a pit of despair in her stomach.
