The night was cold and brisk, the feeling of the night felt like a kiss from a corpse lying in the moonlight, becoming upon the glistening snow. Laying in the snow feeling his hands froze almost going numb, letting out a sigh, his breath came in smoke waves drifting off into the cool brisk air feeling a sense of eternity. He didn't feel more at peace, then right at this very moment, snow lay on the ground all around him, yet he didn't care, his senses were filled with bark from the damp wood of the trees surrounding him with a cold delight. With every snowflake that fell, he felt like he could taste them, The damp frozen water, the feel of the cool wet snow damping his red cheeks. Watching the night sky full of stars, his whole body felt numbed by the snow. He knew his jeans and coat would be wet upon his departure. But he would not, even if the wind came up while he felt the cold wind biting his sensitive flesh. Sighing, he knew that he could not remain there forever, rising from the snow, he erased the small particles of snow still clinging to his wet jeans. He headed back to his car knowing it would take forever to warm up, he sighed heavily as he continues to walk through the dark woods wishing he would've at least brought a flashlight with him. Walking on rocks and fallen branches of leaves of a tree still dispersed white earth one of each color, It was quite, too quite he wondered why he hasn't seen any animal's running around then it dawned on him slapping his damp forehead, he knew the answer to his question giving a low chuckle under his breath hissing when he stepped wrong jerking to the side looking down rubbing his ankle, hearing a loud crack in the distance jerking his attention to the sound almost immediately stopping his movement as he looked around. Thinking he would've seen an animal run by trying to seek warm shelter from the cold, all he could see was dark nothing, the black abyss that echoed into complete nothing. As he waited there for a couple of seconds more wanting to see if it was something friendly or dangerous when a couple more seconds went by he shrugged and kept walking, hearing nothing else but the crunching noise under his boots from the white snow it stopped snowing long wbo8gh for him to see his way back to the car. As he walked along the path, he saw next to nothing, but it was too dark. He then remembered he had his phone in his pocket, pulling out the damp phone from his pocket, feeling the phone as he didn't need light to know it was soaking wet. He cursed, hoping it would still work, hit the power button, but nothing happened. When he tried to turn on the phone he ran looking back seeing nothing but he still kept running he looked back once more and, he missed a big step he felt his body fall threw the air a loud sound of air-filled his ears he tried to stop himself but it was like his body was paralyzed and filled with fear as he fell. Hitting his head on a nearby rock, it nearly knocked him for a loop as he tried to keep his focus, but he couldn't all the trees looked like big brownish blobs trying to stand his knees feeling like jelly, within seconds his world went black, Hours later finally came to he looked around his head felt fuzzy and pain throbbed in his head when he went to sit up, he hissed pain shot through his brain looking around all he could see was blobs, everything was blurry, trees even looked like big blobs Trying to look around to see what he had tripped on not finding anything. Trying to find his phone that he dropped, cursing under his breath, his hands shook from the ice-cold snow his head felt like a pound of hammers is dropped on him. His head pounded feeling every pulse, he grabbed the side of his head with his palm pulling his hand away, hissing in pain looking at his hand, his vision keeps going zooming in and out, but he could see a dark spot of crimson on his palm as blood trickled on the side of his head he continues to find his phone. Finding his phone finally he whipped off the screen, but when he pushed the power button the phone screen went bright with light, but he felt his heart skip a couple of beats when he saw that this wasn't his phone. The screen had a picture of a redhead and a man on it their smiles were big they looked happy, but what he didn't understand is how it still worked under the snow it could've been there for a very long time for all he knew is it could've been there for years he noticed the rust that accumulated on the edges of the phone cutting his finger on one of the rusty spots he cursed wincing putting his finger in his mouth he licked the blood away, but he couldn't take his eyes off the picture hearing a deep groan, his heart skipped a couple more times squeezing out a couple of heartbeats. Feeling like his chest was going to explode, he didn't know what to do, he then decided he was gonna get up and go, but he couldn't, he looked back shinning what light the screen was willing to give, but he stopped when he found a hand wrapped around his ankle chills filled his entire body. Shinning the very dim light a little higher to find the owner of that hand was not there he flew backward letting out a silent scream not knowing what the hell to do his body trembled with horror he didnt know if he was dreaming or if this really was reality so he to a big gulp and went to touch it he stopped and sighed he knew he was being such a wimp, there was a dismembered hand on his ankle so he had the right to freak out. His body trembled, quickly pulling the dismembered hand off his ankle by looking around him once more without seeing anything. Not wanting to stay, he got up and rushed to his car. He didn't know what happened or how that hand got there he didn't even wanna know who it belonged to all he knew is he wanted to get the hell out of there as fast as he could finally look back to see if anything was chasing him. Once he did, he immediately fell upside down breathing into his lungs almost instantaneously, leaving him, he lay there for a while trying to catch his breath. When he did all he could see was a dark face dominating over him, fear leaped through his trembling body. He could not see who this figure was, all he could do out was pure white teeth pointing when the mysterious dark figure smiled. His heart bounced around in his chest feeling it make its way to his throat, backing up in the snow the dark figure stepped closer towards him the more he moved the closer he got. Finally, have the nerve to run. He ran, leaving whatever or whomever it was behind in instant snow crunched loudly as he ran through the dark woods. When he couldn't run anymore, he stopped hoping whatever it was that had happened had been long gone behind him, looking around he saw his blue piece of crap car. Sighing with relief he walked up to the black pit of the assault that was half-covered by the glimmering white snow. He went to grab his keys from his pocket, but he didn't feel anything there his pockets were empty searching every pocket in his coat and jeans nothing. Cursing under his breath, leaning on the car frustrated with himself, but then the terrifying realization hit when his car doors unlocked. His eyes became wide, slowly, looking around at the faint street light above barely shown anything but darkness around him, seeing the same dark shadowy figure approach his car from his car window behind his this man looked huge his broad shoulders nearly didnt fit inside the reflection in his car window. Feeling his heart going a mile per second, stepping into the faint light, horror-struck as he couldn't believe what he was seeing. A man with dark brown hair, pale white skin that blended with the surrounding snow, a black shirt, a long leather coat to go with his dark boots and jeans. His eyes as red were as the crimson that trickled down his lips, smiling stepping closer. His breath grew shallower as the man came closer and closer till he was but an arm's length away he knew this would be the end but he wanted to go out with a bang he quickly opened the car door and grabbed his bat from his driver's side seat holding out in front of his saying " I will use this on you don't come any closer!" he said not sure that the man would do but the man grabbed his bat and with a slight twist of his hand broke it in half the man leaned in smelling his skin. Slightly touching the side of his temple where he was bleeding previously, the man brought his fingers that were covered with blood to his shivering lips. Moaning loudly when the sweet taste pulverized his mouth, as his eyes rolled in the back of his head feeling the blood course through his body. When the man looked back at him growling, lunging at him like an animal He let outa final scream that echoed through the mile-long woods, the smell of blood flooded threw the air birds swormed the sky after hearing a blood curdeling cry and then silence what once was living in the woods is now only darkness.
