Opinion piece

many notable actors have played the iconic role of Gomez Addams, but none have played him better than that of the late great Raul, Julia. Tim Curry, who is another one of my favorite actors like Raul Julia also played the iconic role, but Raul, portrayal of Gomez was just a little bit better played. Tim really didn’t excellent job with him and also with Tim Curry, Gomez had an English accent.

One Halloween season I had gone to New York City, to see the Greenwich Village Halloween parade. When I went, I went in costume, I dressed as Gomez, Addams, and I went as Gomez Adams the way, Raul Julia had done it in Ahmed to him and the character he played in both movies he was in.

With the exception of the way that Raul, Julia and Tim Curry played him, every other actor had played him the way the original actor in the 1960s sitcom played him. When Raul had played Gomez in Addams family and Addams family values, he added charisma to the role that he had never had before. Of all the actors after the guy who played him in the sitcom series, Raul Julia, playing Gomez in the two movies is the one that people referred to, and remember the most.

Since then, in recent Addams family movies actors have gone back to playing Gomez like the sitcom series. After of the 60s Gomez Addams, including down to the way he wore his suit. Whoever cast Raul, Julia, in the role of Gomez in the Addams family movie, and the Addams family values movies made a genius decision in casting. Raul had put himself into the role of Gomez instead of just copying the way the other actors had played before him is what I’m trying to say. Playing Gomez, Raul had added more wrote, mantis, ism and maturity, in the way that his character interacted with his wife in the movie Morticia.

Raul Julia was born to be Gomez Addams in my opinion. He brought a certain special something or is he gonna say why as they say in French that no other actor who had the role of Gomez before him ever ever had. Raul has Gomez Adams and Angelica Houston, as Morticia Adams added, maturity, and sexiness to their roles, as I had said. Raul in his role of Gomez, also brought a smooth quality to the character. Tim Curry also did a great job in his portrayal of Gomez. Darrell Hannah Starr, opposite of Tim as his wife Morticia Adams. It was one of Tim Curry’s last rules before he suffered a stroke that left him currently in a wheelchair that he is in now. I remember there was a Adams family serial and the pinball machine was awesome too all of these things was when the movies that Raul Julia was Gomez and came out.

Raul turned the role of Gomez Addams into a Gothic Latin lover which is what he was. I often wondered how the character of Gomez Addams met Morticia do you know when it was the idea of the story was originally created I did some research and found out he was a lawyer from Spain, who somehow found his way into the other world as as it were. Raul also plays Gomez in a wonderfully childlike manner, which is basically what Gomez was after all a good childlike man eccentric as well. Gomez’s family, the same way and eccentric child like wonderful bunch. For the Addams family values movie they had won there. It is by tag team. When won’t there it is was big before it turned into a legendary one hit wonder hip-hop song. For the Addams family. The first movie MC Hammer provides the theme song with Adam’s groove and it was cool the end.
