"The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night a candle burned in the window," Martha explained.

"The first time I saw it burning in the window, was November 27, 1991, when my family bought this land and property from the bank. Every year on that same date I see the candle burning again, but every time I'd go closer to investigate, suddenly, it seems as though it's blown out!" she added.

Then Rose asked, "is this your only paranormal experience on the property?"

"That's my only personal experience, but many others have had experiences as well over the years. Apparently anyone who enters the cabin after dark, falls into a deep sleep and talked about being trapped in a nightmarish dream loop. Your only escape is if you can awaken yourself when the sun came up," Martha replied.

Rose, the lead ghost hunter in a paranormal investigation team, called "All Things Paranormal," was extremely intrigued by Martha's story about the old haunted cabin on her family's farm land.

Rose and her team had been wanting to investigate this legendary haunted cabin for a while, but due to lock-downs and restrictions over the past few years, the team hadn't been able to enter any local haunted sites.

Finally, the world was getting back to normal and it was their chance to visit the most well known haunted sites nearby.

Rose scheduled a date and time to come out to Martha's family's property next Saturday at 1 PM.

The paranormal investigation team planned to stay on the property for 24 hours to see if they could capture evidence of or remove spirits from the property.

Before visiting any location, the team always did a bit more investigating to dig into the history of it. Jenny was in charge of doing this research, so she went to the old library in town to look up information about the area and any old landowners. She also met up with a few locals to see if they had any information.

Jenny found some interesting information about this old cabin. Apparently a man named Arnie owned the cabin. When he returned home from WWII he wasn't the same, his mind felt "haunted" and he ended up killing himself on the property.

He talked about voices, that would not stop talking to him, taunting him to shoot himself. He couldn't sleep because he said the demons could taunt him more in his sleep. He would also say that it was as if he was out of his body all the time, watching himself from 3rd person view, as if he was another stranger in his home.

Doctors had told his family that this is quite common in people who have experienced trauma, to feel dissociated like that and having an out of body experience, especially after returning home from war.

Unfortunately, Arnie ended up killing himself a few years later because he couldn't handle it, he'd gone mad, his mind had gone too far. His wife passed away before he returned from the war unfortunately so he had no one.

Apparently, anyone who dared to venture onto the property after he died claimed to also experience hearing voices and they'd fall into a deep sleep and become trapped inside of a nightmare.

Rose hadn't personally heard of this type of case before, but she thought it was interesting since she too had experienced issues with her sleep that she felt were "paranormal".

Saturday fast approached and the team had all arrived on scene at the cabin. The owners of the property had allowed them to take the boards off of the door to enter for 24 hrs.

There were 5 people in the investigation team including herself. Her son Leo was a part of the tech team, he hadn't personally seen a ghost but some of the evidence they'd accumulated using the EMF(Electro Magnetic Field meter) and on some of the recordings on the EVP's(Electronic Voice Phenomenon) had him questioning it all.

Noreen was the psychic medium of the team, who would talk to different entities who'd been on the property or see visions of things that happened.

And there was Flora, she had worked on a psych ward for 30 years, so she had had past experiences of paranormal of the mind, with patients who had entities attached to their mind or did not have a stable mindset.

When the team arrived and walked up to the cabin to enter it, it was broad daylight, the sun was shining bright and it was a hot day. There was no electricity, so it was very dark and dusty inside.

It was a 2 story cabin, it was quite big actually. It even had a creepy old cellar under the property.

They had to use lanterns to light the place up. They did notice a half burnt candle sitting in the window full of cobwebs and dust as well.

It felt damp and cool inside and smelled very musky. The windows were all boarded up and sheets thrown over the furniture.

The cabin was full of many types of animal skins and bones. Arnie must have had a trap line and sold the fur, and he kept some of the animals and had them stuffed for aesthetic.

One of the stuffed animals was a huge hawk about to grab a stuffed rabbit. There was also a bear skin rug, moose and elk heads with large antlers hanging over the fireplace and a few stuffed coyotes, fox's and a large lynx as well.

Jenny thought the coyote looked savage as she walked past it on her way to help Leo set up the equipment and some lighting. She didn't feel scared at all, but she couldn't stop thinking about the rumors she'd heard about people falling asleep after dark and being trapped in a deep sleep. She kept assuring herself that it was just an old ghost story, there's no way a cabin can control her sleep and dreams.

Rose and Noreen started walking around to each room upstairs and downstairs to feel out the energy. Noreen would always run her hands along the walls and the doors and furniture, and touched anything that intrigued her.

She explained that when she touched certain objects, she could close her eyes and see in her minds eye any "old memories" left in the walls or imprinted onto the furniture.

This would always give her a glimpse into what happened inside of different rooms. She said that the walls always remember what happens inside of them.

Flora liked to talk to the malevolent spirits and invite them to leave the property. Usually they were lost souls lingering around and they just needed help to move on from being trapped between the veil.

The place was pretty quiet during the day, and actually well into the night it was pretty dead silent as well. They started to question if they'd collect any evidence here.

No one wanted to fall asleep in the cabin, and everyone was doing their best to stay awake, until about 2 am, Rose surprisingly noticed that she was finding herself yawning and getting very sleepy. Although she was so determined to keep her eyes open she noticed she was dozing off.

Leo and Jenny were checking on all of the equipment and making sure the batteries would last all night, they didn't want to miss capturing or recording any evidence.

Flora also started yawning, and so did Noreen.

Rose was the first one to fall asleep. Suddenly she opened her eyes and noticed that her body was levitated 5 feet off of the bed that she must have laid down on as she fell asleep. She was stuck up in the air, with her face only about 2 inches away from the ceiling and she couldn't move, she tried to scream but she couldn't make any sounds.

She started to panic as she saw dozens and dozens of spiders crawling towards her face on the ceiling, she hated spiders. She tried to yell but still couldn't make a sound. She managed to turn her eyes to see that everyone else in the cabin had fallen asleep as well, she couldn't believe it.

Leo realized he had fallen asleep but was in the cellar under the cabin, it was filled with rats. There were about a hundred of them crawling all over him and he couldn't move, he couldn't make a sound. Just laying there as the rats crawled all over his body. It was as if the old cabin knew his fear of rats.

Jenny dozed off while sitting in a chair in the living room next to all of the stuffed animals that were all coming alive and snarling at her, especially the coyote. She couldn't move or make a sound either, and everyone looked as though they were in a peaceful sleep.

Flora fell asleep in an upstairs bedroom belonged to Arnie, in her sleep she was strapped to a bed as he walked out of the closet with the gun shot wounds still on his face, dripping with blood and pieces of falling flesh just hanging.

He kept touching the temple of her forehead, telepathically letting her get a glimpse of the demons trapped in his mind. This made her feel as though she was the one trapped in the psych ward with demons taunting her mind.

Noreen was the last one to fall asleep. In her lucid dream, she was lost in a deep dark dungeon full of lizards, but she recognized this place because she'd been here before. She realized that she was stuck back in a repeating childhood nightmare she used to have for years.

She'd spent many years in therapy recovering from this repeating childhood dream and now it was suddenly back again, how could this be. It was as if the house was preying on her deepest darkest memories.

Luckily, Noreen knew how to get out of this dream though, she'd healed herself from this dream the year before in therapy, by escaping the cave and making it back home to safety, so she tried to escape the dungeon the same way as she had before and escape the evil lizards.

She knew her mind was stronger than whatever was forcing her through this torture. And it was working, she was finding her way out of the dungeon, back to safety.

"Your mind is very powerful, do not be afraid, call on your angels whenever you need protection," she remembered her grandma telling her these words when she'd have nightmares as a child.

She managed to wake herself up. Now it was time to wake the others, which she felt would not be an easy task to do. She couldn't believe that it was only 3 am even, though it seemed like they were asleep for hours and hours.

She heard her grandfather's voice telling her to first go find Arnie's spirit and free his soul before awakening the others. So she searched the house until she found him in a room at the top of the stairs to the left. He was with Flora, taunting her mind.

He was so busy with Flora filling her mind with demons that he didn't notice Noreen walking in.

The old man suddenly was intrigued that Noreen had managed to awaken and that she could see him, he admired her bravery for attempting to help the others but he tried to put her back into her trance again and it did not work.

Instead she just intuitively knew to touch his mind and take the demons out of his head. She pulled them right out of his mind with the help of an Arch angel and then she trapped the demons in a jar that she found in the cellar the evening before. Suddenly the man's soul was released from being trapped in the cabin. He thanked Noreen as his soul went off towards a white light.

Suddenly, Rose floated back down into the bed and awakened. Jenny awakened from the couch to notice the stuffed coyote back in the corner.

Leo awakened in the cellar but there was no rats, he thought he was losing his mind and questioned could this have been real?

Everyone packed up the equipment and left, they decided not to stay the 24 hrs and hopefully they had collected some evidence of the events that happened.

As they drove off the property, everyone was quiet, no one wanted to share what was on their mind at the moment or what had happened to them. But everyone could imagine how awful it had been for the other based on their own experience.

The next day after everyone recouped, they checked the videos and equipment for evidence. Shockingly it had all been erased as if they'd never been to the house.

With no proof or evidence and no one willing to ever step foot back inside the cabin again, all they could do was share the rumors once again.

The one piece of evidence, which was the jar filled with demons, well Noreen had tossed it into a wooden box and filled it with some cement mix that she found and mixed in the cellar.

She sneaked off with a shovel and buried the box of demons, under a tree in the forest away from the house without telling the rest of the team. There was no way she wanted these demons ever returning to the surface.

A few weeks later, Martha's family decided to burn down the property and plant a tree in honor of Arnie in the dirt where the house once stood.
