Lost in the Curse

It was a beautiful summer day when Jack, Tom, Filly, George and Clare decided to go for a trek in the mountains. They were all experienced hikers and had been on many adventures together before. But this time, they were going to tackle the biggest mountain they had ever attempted.

As they started their journey, the air grew colder and the terrain grew rougher. But the friends pressed on, determined to reach the summit. They climbed higher and higher, taking breaks along the way to rest and take in the stunning views.

However, as the day went on, the clouds started to roll in, obscuring their view and making it harder to see the path ahead. They became disoriented and soon realized they had lost their way.

The friends tried retracing their steps, but it was no use. They were completely lost and the sun was starting to set. With no cell service, they decided to make camp for the night and hope that they would find their way back in the morning.

But as they settled in for the night, strange things started to happen. They heard strange noises in the darkness - the rustling of leaves, the snapping of twigs, and the hooting of an owl. They tried to ignore it, but the sounds grew louder and more persistent.

In the morning, they woke up to find their supplies gone and a feeling of dread in the air. They searched the area, but their supplies were nowhere to be found. They were now lost, hungry and afraid.

As they continued on their journey, they started to experience strange and terrifying encounters. They heard whispers in the wind, and saw ghostly figures in the mist. They encountered strange creatures that they had never seen before, and felt like they were being watched.

Days turned into weeks, and the friends began to despair. They were running out of food and water, and their spirits were broken. They started to turn on each other, blaming each other for their misfortunes.

One night, as they huddled around the campfire, they heard a sound that froze their blood. A deep growl echoed through the forest, followed by the sound of footsteps getting closer. Suddenly, a pack of wolves burst from the underbrush, surrounding them. The friends stood together, facing the wolves with fear in their eyes.

Just when they thought it was all over, a strange figure appeared out of the darkness. It was an old man with a long beard, dressed in tattered robes. He approached them, and the wolves retreated, as if afraid of him.

The old man told them that they had been lost in the mountains for years, and that they had been cursed. He offered to lift the curse, but only if they agreed to leave the mountain and never return. The friends agreed, and the old man led them out of the mountain.

When they finally made it back to civilization, they were hailed as heroes. But they never spoke of what had happened in the mountains. They carried the memories of their frightening experience with them, forever haunted by the horrors they had faced.

Years passed, and the friends went their separate ways. But they never forgot the terror they had experienced in the mountains, and the curse that still lingered within them.

As the years went by, strange things started to happen to each of the friends. They would have vivid nightmares of their time in the mountains, and they would hear strange whispers in the night. They began to feel as though they were being watched, and they grew increasingly paranoid and isolated.

Filly was the first to crack. She became obsessed with finding a way back to the mountain, convinced that the old man had lied to them and that they had never truly left. She would spend hours locked in her room, studying maps and making plans to return. But before she could carry out her plan, she was found dead in her home, with a look of terror frozen on her face.

Tom was next. He was a successful businessman, but he began to suffer from intense anxiety and panic attacks. He started to withdraw from his family and friends, and he became convinced that the curse was still following him. One night, he disappeared from his home, never to be seen again.

George was the next to go. He was a renowned artist, but he began to suffer from intense depression and nightmares. He started to see strange things in his paintings, and he became fixated on returning to the mountain to face the curse. He was found dead in his studio, with a canvas depicting a dark and foreboding mountain.

Clare was the last to succumb to the curse. She had been a successful doctor, but she began to suffer from strange and debilitating illnesses. She would have vivid hallucinations and nightmares, and she became increasingly isolated from her friends and family. One day, she disappeared from her home, leaving behind a note that simply read, "I have to go back."

As for Jack, he lived the longest of all of his friends. But he was never the same after their time in the mountains. He suffered from a lifelong fear of the dark and the unknown, and he would never speak of his experience to anyone. He lived out his days in solitude, haunted by the memories of what he had seen and experienced in the mountains.

And so, the story of the five friends who went for a trek in the mountains, and got lost in the curse, came to a close. But for those who knew the tale, the fear and the mystery of that dark and foreboding mountain lived on.
