Phi Ta Khon. Top Story - October 2022.
The Thai Ghost Festival Introduction The surroundings were pitch black. Like a mother clutching her newborn, the night embraced the moon and the stars. The woman stumbled a few times on the ground, but she picked herself up at a panicked pace every time. The dark alleys of Chiang Khan Street in Thailand were filled with the sound of the woman sprinting away and her labored breathing. She stumbled one last time, and it was apparent that she was hurt this time because she failed to stand up. Chasing behind her was a dark figure holding a sledgehammer. The woman was crying while clawing at the ground in a last-ditch effort to get away. She turned around and pleaded with the dark figure not to hurt her. Getting no response, she screamed for help. The dark figure loosened his grip on the sledgehammer, dropping its head on the pavement. He slowly walked towards the woman while dragging the thing with his left hand. He was purposely making unnecessary noises to terrify his victim even more.

Halloween Ends - Movie Review
"What on earth did I just watch?!" Is what I told myself upon leaving the cinema. Halloween Ends completely missed the charm of the original movie. What was once a very simple, straight to the point slasher, where a unstoppable killer storms through Haddonfield on a murderous rampage is now a convoluted romantic thriller about Laurie's grand daughter, Alison, falling for a bad boy psychopath! I'm not even kidding you folks, Halloween Ends focuses far more on this new character named Corey, who slowly becomes psychotic upon meeting Michael Myers in a creepy sewer. After escaping the infamous serial killer, Corey slowly starts to lose his sanity and essentially becomes a copy-cat killer of The Shape, only he has an even cheaper Halloween mask from the local dollar store. What's even worse is just how much screen time is absolutely wasted on this bizarre, yet awful romantic relationship he has with Alison, which honestly takes over the majority of this film's run time! I swear to you this is the actual plot and it's not at all scary.

Hellraiser: Impact of a Legend
”We have such sights to show you…” These words were spoken at the end of a film that became the beginning of a legacy. I’ll never forget the first time I laid eyes on the horror icon known as Pinhead. I went over my dad’s house for the weekend one day in 1997 and he rented this horror movie about this beautiful woman who was helping a pale skinned man with needles in his head terrorize some family for reasons I was too young to understand, but the movie was very entertaining. The name of that movie was Hellraiser: Bloodline and it was the fourth film in the Hellraiser film series created by Clive Barker. Hellraiser is without a doubt, one of the greatest cinematic masterpieces of horror film history, especially when it comes to slashers. The key to understanding the genius and impact of the Hellraiser series is examining its concepts, themes, characters and real life messages about morality and the consequences of our choices.
