A Letter to 15 Year Old Me: 15 Years Later
Hi Kelsey, I realize that these types of exercises are usually for the purposes of attracting other readers for the sake of "relatability." You and I both know that we are only "relatable" to a minority of people. I know that you have always felt like an outsider, you were never given any clear answers as to why that is. You just know that whatever you were getting bullied for is a bullshit reason. Your classmates will make up EVERY excuse in the book as to why that was; they will claim ignorance, the stupidity of youth, whatever the excuse of the week happens to be.

My Body: A Prosessay
I trudge through the murky uncertainty of adulthood, wondering if the stretch marks, the freckles, and the keratosis bumps will attract or repel desire. I lack the curves of the goddesses in paintings and statues, it would feel more like holding a wooden pole rather than a woman’s body. My face is not soft enough in bone structure to be held like an animal in need of care. Now, after losing weight there is not enough meat on my bones to feed any hungry human. I can carry a heavy weight but, to be honest, I was always carrying the heavy weight of low self-worth. Am I still worthy enough for even a gentle hand?

Forgiveness Should Have A Price
The trauma I kept like a lover who wounds me, brought to me by words of ignorant youth and doubtful adults. I went from a little girl with potential to an adult who wasted it all. I am supposed to forgive the ignorant youth who are now adults, the adults who are now seniors. This is supposed to be for me but I know that once I say “I forgive you” they will walk away never feeling the blade that is still stuck in my back

Who Is the Real Monster Part 4
Xavier opened his eyes again and couldn’t see a thing. He did remember where his last location was before passing out. He remembered getting smacked in the back of the head with an assassin’s gun, he definitely got a terrible headache from it. His friends tried to turn to him for help but he could not due to his injury so he had to sit it out.

Breaking the (Autistic) Code: Rachel from A Simple Date (2021)
Disclaimer: I am not a licensed medical professional and this series is not about diagnosing the character(s) with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This series is a personal examination of the film/TV show's plot, the character's traits and personality and how they relate to me as an Autistic woman. I will also examine canonically Autistic Characters, so take my personal opinions as just that, a personal opinion. I would encourage my readers to seek out different perspectives on disability representation especially from BIPOC disabled creators who are often ignored in the disability discourse. Also some of the topics I will discuss might be triggering so please take care of your mental health when reading. I will also try to avoid giving away any spoilers for those who have not seen the film/TV show but if I have to give context for my arguments, this will be a likely occurrence so please be forewarned.

Finding Beauty in An Ugly Place
Looking through photographs of me when I was a little girl, you would find that I was a thin girl with blonde hair and blue eyes that were very apparent to everyone. I turned from a skinny toddler to a tall, rectangle-shaped teenage brunette who is wide enough to be noticed by a lot of people. I had a lot of attention directed at me, the majority of it very negative from my peers and adults. I always thought of myself as “ugly” because my hair was cut very short, I was tomboyish, and I did not have very feminine features. I was also suffering from emotional problems due to bullying at school and also abuse in the home. I had hardly any positive role models except for my English teacher who stood by me through it all until she retired.

The Party
I can’t stand the pop music that bounces around the walls like invisible demons. I see a group of girls that look friendly, they are smiling and laughing. People tell me that usually means that they are “kind.” I give them my best smile but soon their smiles turned to grimaces when they saw me. I lower my gaze, they probably think I am a freak. I slink away into a corner of the room, hoping that my attempt to make friends would be good enough for my relationship coach.

Xavier's Eyes
It was a busy Saturday night at the Darkwood club. I was sitting at the bar with my long-time friend, Joseph, serving drinks tonight. I was supposed to be meeting a supplier for insulin medication here but it looks like he would not be able to make it. He hasn't been answering my text messages or phone calls since the morning before the meeting. Either the cops found out and threw him in the slammer, chickened out, or an Assassin took him out. This supplier had friends who worked at pharmacies and would be willing to hand us a few boxes of the stuff.
