Creepy Creatures and Myths #2: The Man Under the Car
Though apparently never actually witnessed, the "slasher under the car"/ankle slicing car thief still haunts the public imagination. The idea is simple: Someone may be waiting beneath your car as you enter or exit the vehicle. Why? Probably to slice at your ankles and incapacitate you, then to steal your car, kill you, or do other unfortunate things. While most people don't fear stepping out of the car, such a tale might make someone hesitate to do so.

Scary Disney: Lady and the Tramp: The Siamese Cats and The Rat
Lady and the Tramp is a truly beautiful film about two dogs falling in love have a family and live happily ever after. Lady lives a luxurious life before one day her owners, Jim Dear and Darling, bring a baby home which upsets her and drives her away. One day Tramp, a stray dog, arrives on the scene and tells Lady ‘when a baby moves in, a dog moves out’ which scares Lady. Aunt Sarah comes home to look after Lady whilst Jim and Darling are away, she brings her Siamese cats to the house which cause hell and havoc, they break multiple objects in the home and blame it on Lady. Aunt Sarah has Lady taken away which pleases the Siamese cats. Tramp quickly hears of this, frees Lady from the kennel and Lady returns home. As they do, they see a rat in the baby's room which Tramp fights and gets rid of leading him to be the hero of the film. Jim and Darling let him into the family home and they all live happily ever after. A classic movie with an outstanding musical score with a few scenes leaving some of its audiences with nightmares for years to come.

The London Vampire
I avoided moving from my childhood home and friends but it was for my dad's business so there wasn't an away i could make him stop or change his mind. Even if i had one more year of high school, he wanted to move now and not later. "i am going to miss this room" I thought, standing in the doorway holding my plant with some books in hand "come on sweety, its time to head out" mom calls out from the front door. I took one more look of the now empty room "coming mom" i shout closing the door and head out mom.

Scary Disney: Alice in Wonderland: The Walrus and the Carpenter, The Cheshire Cat and The Queen of Hearts
Alice in Wonderland is a strange tale written by Lewis Carroll about a young girl named Alice and her wonderful adventures in Wonderland. Walt Disney took this story and made in into an animation with some unforgettable songs and characters making it a fantastic movie. Though not as frightening as other Disney movies Walt left his mark on this film with a few creepy details.

I fell asleep last night, as one normally does, gently and without knowing when the waking hours were replaced with a time of rest, but there was something that brought wonder to my mind upon waking from my slumber. I couldn’t say is was a dream, for we don’t recall much of what we experienced when we have such things, but I could remember anything and everything that occurred whilst sleep took my body for a time, forgetting what my reality consisted of.

Graceful Creatures
Everyone has a vicious side, everyone at one point has seen red because there is this mean streak in us all. Even the family dog will snap at the hand that feeds them if left forgotten and hungry for too long. We all have a breaking point, all of us. Anger is the only emotion that most of the time isn't forgiven easily or at all. You can burn bridges with your tongue if you are not careful and demonstrating physical harm during times of anger can cause moral suicide to your character. We are taught to suppress this emotion but the more you swallow your toxic words and hold back your physical actions they tend to start to seep through during moments that they shouldn't. Screaming at the television during a politicians speech who has opposing views, tossing your middle finger up in traffic at the person who cut you off, snapping at the poor cashier at the grocery store, or throwing your cellphone across the room after a heated argument. These moments are the gateway moments that lead up to the regurgitation of all that anger you've been swallowing. Quite frankly, I don't feel like swallowing my rage much longer. There is nothing more overrated than happiness, but I'll happily strike a match to burn some bridges. I think I can manage finding comfort in the chaos, especially when I am the chaos.

Cracking
I think it goes without saying that I was not pleased when I heard our branch was being downsized. As it turns out despite my doubts, I was a “transfer to the Manchester branch person” and not a “severance package person”. I figured it would be a difficult transition, but I had no idea. Money was tight so it wasn’t as though I could just immediately get an apartment in Manchester, I thought it best sleep to in a hotel for a week or two. After some searching, I landed on the Jackson Hotel, a quaint little place. It was cheap but appeared neatly kept on their website, also it was no more than five minutes’ drive from my new workplace. At first it all seemed a bit too good to be true.
