Nightmare Mist
It's a dark night and you're safe in bed. You think nothing can harm you in your own bed. You're drifting asleep, thinking about a creak. The house always creaks sometimes. It's normal as it's settling around you as if the house is breathing and alive. Your room is illuminated by a trusty nightlight. You also believe that the nightlight is your safety along with your trusty 'Dream Catcher', where good dreams pass through, but bad dreams get stuck in the web to be 'dissolved' by the morning sun.

'Paranormal Activity' Is Still This Generations Most Influential Horror Film
I have always been intrigued by the paranormal and unexplainable horror of the world. The anxiety that it presents and chills that you get from watching movies, TV, or even amateur videos was always fun for me growing up and still remains to this day as one of my favorite types of media.

The Horror of Halloween(1978)
Halloween is the slasher of all slashers, although not the first it is certainly the best. This film has inspired others like it but none come close to this one. Maybe the new comes close, as it proves that once again that the simple route is the best. Halloween is basically about a psych patient Michael Myers; who killed his sister and boyfriend 15 years prior on Halloween. The reasoning behind that is still anyone's guess. He escapes just as Dr. Loomis and his colleague Marion Chambers come to take him to court. Now on paper it doesn't sound scary at all. But what make it so are five reasons I'm going to explain.

An Introduction To 'The Town That Dreaded Sundown'
I discovered The Town That Dreaded Sundown two years ago, and since then it’s become a staple on my proverbial Halloween dinner table. I was introduced to writer and director Charles B. Pierce thanks to Mystery Science Theater 3000 and a special little film called Boggy Creek II: And The Legend Continues. Pierce, of course, also directed Boggy Creek I, but I haven’t gotten around to seeing that one yet. He also directed and wrote The Town That Dreaded Sundown, which, if you’ve seen Boggy Creek II, will throw you for a bit of a loop. Because while--despite my love for it--Boggy Creek II isn’t a good film, per se, The Town That Dreaded Sundown is, in its own right. At least, I remember it being good.

Why ‘The Craft’ should be on your movie list this year.
As a younger child, I absolutely loved horror films. I couldn’t tell you why, as I’ve always been the jumpy kind, even being startled when someone walked in the room suddenly. As I grew older, though, I simply came to terms with the fact that horror wasn’t for me. I still liked movies with supernatural focuses, but stayed away from the full-on horror. Slashers, thriller and suspense, I wanted none of it.

The History on the Genre of Horror
When we hear the word horror, we automatically think of scary movies or playing a prank on your friends to scare them. We also think that horror is just a genre that is used in many fictional stories during a sleepover or a campout in the woods over a fire. However, what is the true meaning of the word horror and how do previous and current creators of horror stories try to get you to have goosebumps on your arms. The term horror means an overwhelming and painful feeling caused by something frightfully shocking, terrifying, or revolting; a shuddering fear (Dictionary). However, how has horror changed over the years and what was the difference between horror back then and now? We will be looking into three types or places where we will find horror: Literature, movies, and real life horror. I hope by the end of this essay, you will have a better understanding of the genre of horror and why we have it.

Johnathan’s POV The movie wasn't half bad. Although I didn't agree with a lot of the crap they were saying about vampires. Vampires afraid of the light and come out during the dark? And their weakness, was its garlic or onions? The only thing they did get right was killing them with a stake through the heart or burning them.

Review of 'Utopia'
Just what we needed, right? A series about a virus that's spreading quickly from city to city -- and killing children no less? And the plot hinges on a hyped vaccine that may not be effective at all? So, yeah, Utopia on Amazon Prime is all of that and more, and at the worst possible time. But maybe at the best possible time, because I found first season of this series really enjoyable and binge-watched all eight of its episodes yesterday.
