Even putting aside the ever-present mortal danger it presented to most, the constant growls, whines, and thrashing made concentration difficult. And yet, Eddie felt himself drawn there. It was just a few months ago he was trapped behind one of the heavy doors, waiting for his execution. So much had changed since then, it felt like a different lifetime.

Father & Son
Jackson, Mississippi. 17:00 The sun was setting on Jackson, Mississippi, and the landscape was lit with magic. Amber poured from the streetlights and office windows below, but as the shallowing light of the setting sun poured through the dense clouds, they refracted a deep and intense azure blue. The contrast was night and day. From atop the flat roof of the Jackson Convention Complex, Traci Thirteen had a low view of the city. A lot of the city was low to the ground, down to Earth, and for her purposes, that wasn’t such a problem.

Review of “The Silent Lay Steady”, A Short Horror Film
In the world of independent film, specifically the horror genre, it is very rare to find artists embark on creating a short or feature film that includes anything regarding the paranormal. This may be harder to budget for an indie project; the ghosts and ghouls can rack up a hefty price tag between the lighting, makeup, costuming and effects that usually coincide with filming a supernatural horror. The 2020 released short titled “The Silent Lay Steady” proves that you can achieve that same sense of spooktacular phenomenon on a shoestring budget with the perfected formula of silence, music, sound effects, photography and tension. Directed and written by Canadian filmmaker Travis Laidlaw, who’s latest short “Dead House” has landed it’s place on the horror streaming YouTube channel ALTER, this visually pleasing short is one for the books. Your heart won’t stop racing.

Eat The Rich
"Eat the rich" A long standing joke among friends, family, and widespread internet communities. No one was ever meant to take it literally. When people said "Eat the rich" it was a protest against the system that allowed people to become billionaires while there were people dying because they couldn't afford insulin, and other life preserving commodities. Saying "someone start up the grill" whenever some rich asshole was caught not paying taxes was just a coping mechanism for living in a society that didn't care if you lived or died.
