Have You Seen This Man?
Have you seen this man? It’s near certain he’s seen you. It’s said he visits everyone eventually. Maybe only a few times, maybe so often he thinks of you as an old friend, though he knows you don’t view him as such. Rest assured, in the end you will see this man and he will see you straight back in return.

Vivarium (2019): Underrated and Undersold (SPOILER ALERT)
Let me begin by saying that Vivarium was dealt one of the unluckiest hands in Film history. With an estimated budget of 4 million dollars, and grossing less than half a million worldwide, it flopped about as hard as a movie can financially. Coronavirus reaching a tipping point in the United States days before its release certainly put this movie on a path of untimely demise. I am a fan of horror and I had never even heard of it until a friend suggested it. It is frankly shocking to have A list celebrities like Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network, Zombieland, Now You See Me) and Imogen Poots (The Art of Self Defense, Jane Eyre, Chatroom) be so thoroughly ignored by mainstream media and horror fans alike. This on top of the 5.8 star rating it has on IMDb took me by surprise.

Choose your path wisely
In the clutches of a nightshift, a gravedigger speared a shovel into partially dug soil. His hands abandoned the shovel and rested onto his waistline, as he took a quick breather. His eyes walked a thin line of nighttime, scanning over the wealthiest place on planet earth. A place full of wonderful dreams that were buried unaccomplished, marvelous talents worth billions and billions of dollars, wasted by the death of their lazy owners—six-feet-beneath the earth, all those magnificent gifts rests with a scowl.

Kin
“Every dream will reveal itself as a psychological structure, full of significance” – Sigmund Freud. The cool wind blows upon his face. A baby’s scream bellows down the twisted corridor into a darkened room. Of the seven years Christian Dillinger had lived in that house in the small town of Irving, that corridor had never seemed so long as what it did now. Shuffling down the corridor, the drapes hit his body as they blow fiercely due to the strong wind. Flashes of a sealed envelope addressed to him come and go. The baby’s scream grows louder and louder. Halfway down, he notices a trail of blood leading to the darkened room. He hesitates, but mustered up the courage to journey on. The door is shut. Shaking, he raises his arm to turn the door knob. Inside the room lies a naked baby in a cot, with the umbilical cord still attached, covered in blood. The baby’s scream is so loud it deafens him. Beside the baby is the sealed envelope. Within arms reach, a woman’s voice calls to Christian from behind.
