Spiders Under the Bed
The boy trembled with excitement under his bed covers. His fists gripped the sheets so tightly his fingers hurt. He graced the alarm clock with a glance. Only 10:45pm. They never arrived before eleven. He couldn’t stand it anymore. He had something special to share with his friends.

One Man's Trash
February 1975 It was bitter cold that night. He had just left the bar. A bar that not many people knew about or frequented. It was on the side of town that most people avoided. It was a bar that appeared long past it's prime both on the outside and the inside. But for him it was a sanctuary. A place to go and feel accepted; normal, what ever normal was. The patrons of the bar were varied; some old, some young, all different shapes and sizes. All men. Some looked as if they were right out of suburbia, undoubtedly with a wives and kids waiting at home for them. Some looked as if they had rolled in from the alleys and shelters. Yet they all had one thing in common, they were different. Their desires were labeled as perverse by society, and they took refuge in this place. On most nights he would settle for a quick liaison in a filthy back room. But sometimes, if he was very lucky, he would find someone to actually connect with. Find some simple understanding and warmth for a short fleeting moment. Tonight he had found nothing, just old men who sought a passionate encounter with young flesh. So he had left earlier than usual and began the walk to his car, which he had parked far from the bar. He walked trying to stay in the shadows so as not to be seen by anyone who might happen to pass by. The biting chill penetrated his body, he felt dead inside and he pulled his coat tighter to block out the wind.

The Elevator - Part 1/2 (Short)
She stood in her dilapidated hallway, dripping rain onto the frayed and faded doormat, mimicking the oil-drip stains that caked the walls of her studio. An unlabeled, orange envelope was clutched in her hands as she stared down, confused.

Not the end yet
It is very difficult to describe what is going on right now, nothing makes sense and nothing matters anymore. Almost half of the population on earth is dead, there are dead people and blood everywhere but we, the survivors, we wish we were dead. I'm writing this for future generations, so they never forget what happened here, although I don't think there is going to be a future generation. The pain is unbearable, but I will finish writing, you must know what happened here.

The Eternally Damned
Written by, Joshua Prentice The Eternally Damned The Year is 4024 My Name is Don Roy, and this is my story. A long time ago a man stood for something huge. He stood for discipline, and truth. He was a man of peaceful means. A focused yet wise individual. So, when war broke out, he was always the calmest in the situation. This man’s name was Leeper Sovern. A universal monk lost in the depths of his own decisions. He made a choice many years ago which resulted in him losing his reality amid his enemies. I know how it all happened because I was there when it happened. His intentions were for a cause way better then that of any other living creature. He sacrificed his very natural existence. To stop a source of purely relentless evil. From destroying everything, and everyone around him. Now he is stuck in an unknown real. In a parallel dimension far from this reality forever. All do to his one humble sacrifice. They say one must cut off a finger to save a hand. I do not believe that. Which is why I have invented technology far overreaching the times. In order to travel beyond our reality. In between lost dimensions. In order to find my friend, and mentor, to bring him home. I have pledged my life’s work to this cause and will not rest until he is brought home.

Uninfected
The dark is quiet without the roar of zombies from all around, and the screams of humans that wandered in for undiscovered food. The mall, everything, used to be paradise. All the cars on the roads stopped, the lights went off, and there was only the dull hum of hunger.

The Children in the Pit
Long, long ago in the village of Woofpit, so-called because it was ringed with holes to trap ravening wolves, a man named Richard was out walking one evening at harvest time. He was enjoying the pleasant weather before winter blew in to rattle his bones.

Run
I woke with what should have been a start. Instead my eyes opened calmly, the only thing to betray my nightmares being the heaviness in my breathing. Danielle lay awake to my right in the darkness of the room. I could feel her questioning eyes on me. I said nothing.

The Red Eyed Favor Part III
“Of all the names you could have called yourself, you went with ‘Daddy’?” “Would you have preferred that I refer to myself as Master, instead? I know I am new to modern day colloquialisms, but I’m under the impression that the two can be interchangeable.”

Movie Review: 'Things Heard & Seen'
I have a reputation, via the Everyone’s A Critic Movie Review Podcast, for being hard on haunted house movies. Indeed, I’ve trashed most of them. Whether it’s The Conjuring franchise and its associated films or just the random September/October studio detritus, made to capitalize on the ravenous horror fandom, I’ve not been impressed with Hollywood’s ghost stories. It’s not a particular bias ghosts ghosts. Rather, it’s an issue with overused tropes, vague motivations, and screenwriting shortcuts that have put me off of Hollywood’s over-familiar ghost formula.
