He was psyched to finally be at the Old Lassiter Massacre barn, in Bear Claw, South Carolina . Ryan had been a paranormal investigator for twenty years. After being tormented by an evil spirit as a younger child, he never wanted to feel that fear again. His parent’s were afraid that he might be a little too fearless and open a box he couldn’t close. The Lassiter Massacre barn carried a lot of pain. Purchased by Abigail and Ulysses Lassiter in 1675, the barn was a torture chamber. They owned many slaves, and they were well respected in their community. Slaves would be tortured and experimented on. There is a story of a slave woman by the name of Mattie. She had her unborn baby ripped from her womb. Her spirit is said to haunt the property. A neighbor reported a description of an apparition that resembled Mattie running towards the cherry tree by the barn. loud screams were reported coming from the barn. No one had been in the barn for at least twenty years. The last person to enter the barn went by the name Henry Riesen. The story is that Henry wanted to visit the location out of curiosity. When he returned home he was possessed and tried to kill his wife and children. His wife was courageous enough to grab their children and run next door to call the police. Henry was placed in a psychiatric ward.

However; Ryan’s bravery drew him to the location. After presenting his research to his team, it took a while to get everyone on board. They knew that Ryan really wanted to investigate the Lassiter Massacre barn. Behind his back they talked of the dangers, and felt like he was putting them in jeopardy. However, they left it alone and went with it.

The barn was old and rusted. Dust and dirt covered the floors and windows. Old ropes they used to hang slaves were still hanging from the ceiling. The smell was awful. Torture tools were spread across the floor. You could just feel the dark energy. The air was so thick it was hard to breath. The team had to wear construction mask.

Ryan ran a paranormal crew with his college mates Paul, Taylor, and Grant. They called themselves “The Creepy Crew”. It was 3 AM; Ryan was setting up the ouija board, while the rest of the team set up equipment. They heard a loud “bang!” the door slammed. Everyone ran to the door. They tried to get out, but the door would not open. There was no lock on the door. It was as if someone was standing there holding it.

The crew started to panic. Ryan said, “calm down guys, we can’t show fear, it will only make things worse. We have to continue the investigation, and maybe by that time the door will open.” Everyone collected their thoughts, and continued to setup. They had night vision cameras, so they could catch every angle of the barn. They had a ghost box setup, and each one of them had an EMF reader.

Everyone sat in a circle on the ground with the ouija board in the center. They had protection candles surrounding them. Ryan said an opening prayer, and everyone placed their hands on the canoe. “Are there any spirit’s that would like to communicate with us today?” Ryan asked. A strong wind came upon them, and the canoe jerked to the yes mark. The ouija board then flew across the room on it’s own. The team started to freak out. “We gotta get the hell out of here!” Yelled Paul, as he tugged and pulled on the door. A tin bucket flew right at Ryan’s head. He jumped back. Taylor was the only one that was completely silent. She just stared into space, and would not speak. “Taylor, Taylor, Taylor!” Yelled Paul. He tried to shake her. She turned and looked him in the eyes and stabbed him in the throat with a long dirty nail she’d picked up. Taylor passed out on the floor. Paul held his neck as blood ran from his mouth. Loud banging on the walls made it hard for them to focus. “We have to get them to a hospital.” Said Ryan to Grant. They kicked on the door as hard as they could. Grant yelled. “Open the Damn door, Let us out!” The doors were released, but by that time Paul had passed on, and Taylor disappeared in thin air. Ryan and Grant ran for their lives. Taylor was never found.
