Lisa had always dreamed of adopting a dog, and when she saw the cute little beagle at the shelter, she knew he was the one. She named him Max and took him home to her apartment, where they quickly became inseparable.

But strange things began to happen almost immediately. Lisa would wake up in the middle of the night to find Max growling and barking at the corner of the room, as if there was something there that only he could see. She tried to ignore it, thinking it was just a quirk of his personality, but the feeling of unease lingered.

One day, Lisa decided to take Max for a walk in the nearby woods. They had been walking for about half an hour when they came across an old abandoned house. It was rundown and dilapidated, with broken windows and overgrown weeds. Max began to bark and pull at his leash, as if he wanted to go inside.

Lisa hesitated, but her curiosity got the better of her, and she decided to explore the house with Max. As they walked through the creaky old house, Lisa felt a strange energy in the air, as if the house was alive with some kind of malevolent force.

Suddenly, Max let out a loud bark and ran down the hallway. Lisa followed him, and found him scratching at a door at the end of the hall. She tried to pull him away, but he was determined to get inside.

As Lisa opened the door, a chill ran down her spine. The room was freezing cold, even though it was a warm summer day. The walls were covered in strange symbols and paintings, and Lisa could feel a sense of dread creeping over her.

Suddenly, the door slammed shut behind her, and Lisa was trapped in the room with Max. She could hear strange whispers and murmurs, as if there were people talking just out of reach. She could feel a cold hand on her shoulder, even though there was no one there.

As the hours passed, Lisa realized that she and Max were not alone in the room. There was something in there with them, something that wanted to harm them. She huddled in the corner with Max, trying to keep him safe from the evil presence that seemed to be closing in on them.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the door creaked open, and Lisa and Max were able to escape. They ran out of the house and back to Lisa's apartment, where Lisa collapsed on the couch, exhausted and terrified.

Over the next few days, Lisa couldn't shake the feeling that something was following her, watching her every move. Max seemed to sense it too, and he would growl and bark at invisible entities in the apartment.

One night, as Lisa was getting ready for bed, she heard a strange noise coming from the living room. She cautiously walked into the room, and saw a shadowy figure standing in the corner. It was tall and menacing, with glowing eyes that seemed to pierce through her.

Lisa tried to scream, but no sound came out. She could feel the figure getting closer and closer, and she knew that this time, there was no escape. Max barked and growled at the figure, trying to protect Lisa, but it was no use.

As the figure closed in on her, Lisa realized that she had made a terrible mistake by bringing Max home. The beagle had brought a malevolent presence into her life, and now, she would never be able to escape it.

The next morning, Lisa's body was found by the police, lying on the floor of her living room. Max was nowhere to be found, but the strange symbols and paintings from the abandoned house were etched into the walls of the apartment. It was as if the malevolent presence
