It's October, and Halloween is just around the corner. You want to snuggle up in a cozy blanket with a pumpkin spiced latte this sweater weather... but what to watch on Netflix? It feels like everything good gets taken down too soon... and let's be honest... you have already watched every episode of Disenchanted... so now what?

1. 'The Walking Dead'

A new season of the walking dead just got released on Netflix and if you are like me, you haven't seen this one yet. It's the perfect way to start the October vibes.

However, be warned. While this season is better than some other seasons, the Walking Dead is pretty much dead... it just keeps having new seasons anyway. I guess you could say that the Walking Dead... is walking dead.

Just kidding, that was an awful dad joke... please don't hate me.

2. 'Warcraft'

If you played the game then I really suggest you see the movie, there is something magical about seeing all the familiar landmarks come to life in another medium. The CGI is amazing and the story is pretty good too. I will say this however, it takes about half an hour for the plot to thicken ... so don't give up on it too soon. After all, you can't judge a book until you've read at least the first three chapters.

3. 'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina'

Ignore the overdone intro art with unnecessary cheesy music ... it's actually good! I promise!

In case you were wondering the same thing as me... the answer is yes, the Sabrina is Sabrina Spellman... based on the same character as Sabrina the Teenage Witch. However, I wouldn't compare the two shows much more than that... because that is where the likeness ends. This show is not cheerful or funny... it's dark. However, it's also very appropriate for spooky time... I mean... Halloween.

4. 'Once Upon a Time'

With new episodes on Netflix and a magical feel, this show is just perfect for an early October feel! I already watched them all, so I can let you know that this season is up to par with the rest!

It also makes GREAT background noise... if you just want something on while you play video games or make some food.

5. 'Scary Movie 5'

If your not a big horror fan... or maybe just watched one too many horror movies... then Scary Movie 5 is right for you! It's pretty damn good and it has Snoop Dog in it! :)

If you are going through a horror movie binge, I definitely recommend watching this one near the end.

6. 'Would You Rather?'

This one gets really dark fast... so don't watch it if you have a tendency for nightmares... or a weak stomach. Basically a rich guy like to make people for fun: with the promise of money for the last man standing. The ending has a super twist too that really jerks those tears.

7. 'Shrooms'

Okay, you got me... this one doesn't seem to be on Netflix anymore... but I first saw it on Netflix and it's really good! One of my personal favourites. It starts off with the stereotypical scary movie intro of a bunch of attractive young adults going to the woods for a camping trip. This scary movie is different tho, it takes a while to figure out what is going on, but when you do... it's worth it.

8. 'The Babysitter'

Another humour based "scary" movie. Ever wondered what the babysitter does after the kid goes to sleep? Did you ever think it would be a satanic ritual?... Caused that's what I thought they always did.

This movie is really well done! It's funny, never boring and has some great one-liners! I recommend this one 100%!!

Not to mention... it has King Bach in it!!! Good for you King Bach, it's always nice to see the Viners sneak there way into movies. He was the photographer in 50 Shades of Grey too.

9. '47 Meters Down'

SHARKS! SHARKS! SHARKS!

Something about 47 Meters Down is just so visually stunning! Sure it has a slow start plot-wise... but don't all shark movies? It's worth it for the sharks!!!

I don't know about you, but I love a good shark movie. They were my absolute favourite as a teenager.

10. 'Haunted'

Another Netflix Original Success! Haunted is a series of episodes based on real stories, each episode is another person's story... and what makes it really scary is thats it's real.

What I love about this one is that it is a T.V. show instead of movie, it's a nice break from the traditional thriller horror movie.

Ever heard of the woman in white? Well you have to watch episode one to hear more about her...

Bonus! 'The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell' It's so bad... that it's good!

Just kidding, it's pretty bad ... but it's worth mentioning!

The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell is Halloween themed cooking and baking show. If that's your thing then go ahead and check it out, but I wouldn't actually recommend it. The puppets are cute and add to the show a lot more than I thought they would. However, the show isn't actually entertaining and the special effects are pretty bad too.
