I’m going to be brutally honest. If I could travel back in time, I’d want to be a slave master. Before your jaw drops and hits the floor, I would be a slave owner that secretly freed the slaves. Let’s be honest. Surviving is the key, so I wouldn’t publicly be against slavery for my own safety. The last thing I need is to be whipped or swinging from a tree like a bird house. The south was a very dangerous place during the slavery era. My mama ain’t raise a fool. There’s nothing wrong with beating the system from within.
