It's been a week since ZSJL became available world wide and based on critical and audience response it is a much better film but why?

There is no denying that Zack Snyder's Justice League has made an impact culturally in the first week of release. We have multiple confirmed sources saying it is their highest viewed stream or purchase. There is a reason for that. Each plot point is relevant and each scene is key which is why narrowing it down is so difficult. Some of these moments are endearing, some are powerful and some are just phenomenal. If you have not seen ZSJL please do not continue reading as you will spoil the magnificent film for yourself. bending

5. Cyborg and the ATM- This scene establishes Victor has a heart and is willing to help people who need it most. Watching the video of that single mother was heartbreaking and Zack was able to infuse deep rooted emotions and channel a reaction from any parent watching this film. It showed us Victor was not a machine where it mattered most. In his own heart. I thought this scene really showed Victor wanted to find a way to feel okay with himself and almost was for a split second until he received a confused look by passers by.

4. Villain Reveals- Not so much a single moment but a series of moments throughout the film. Right from the early stages we got Steppenwolf and he was already more menacing and less family friendly. He's capable of decimating society and yet we still feel his pain when DeSaad announces he still has 50,000 worlds to repay. Then of course Darkseid and his intro just made my jaw drop. It was ripped straight from the pages. It was done so well. Steppenwolf didn't feel like a throwaway easy to dismantle villain and it took the powers of the entire team to bring him down.

3. Cyborgs Origin- Zack promised us that Victor Stone was the heart of this film and this scene broke mine. Seeing his disappointment when his father wasn't present, watching him reach out to try and shield his mother from impact. Watching him learn to fly and watching him forgive his father. It all hurt to watch. Ray delivered and Zack clearly knew that and wanted us to see this. Ray and Zack have been monumental voices in doing the right thing and making sure people don't feel a lone. They translated that powerfully into Cyborg and all his struggle.

2. Rejuvenated Batman- Again not so much a singular moment in the film but a series of moments that allowed us to see how much Bruce Wayne has grown over the course of the two movies. At first he would stop at nothing to make sure Superman paid for his mistakes. Then he learned Clark like himself was grounded in humanity and he had lost his. He found that and set out to save the world and build something Clark could be proud of. From the beginning of the film when he told Alfred not to stop searching for Barry to the moment when the team meets Alfred and he says "I work for him" knowing that without Alfred he would be half the man he is today. Then of course we get the smaller more intimate moments with the awkward but yet still cute hand moment with Diana. He then of course says it outright when Alfred asks him why he believes this will work and he says faith. He doesn't have any issue calling it out and wanting to be more accepting of the people around him that he needs to rely on. He still keeps that leader mentality and you still see the hardened side of him as well.

1.The Flash- I know it's biased of me to say my favorite hero stole the show but really was the most different character. He still had that boyish awkward charm when he didn't know when to keep his mouth shut before his mind was already saying it. He's faster than everyone. He processes information faster. The line where he tells Batman him being fast is an oversimplification literally sums up the difference between 2017 and 2021. He was simplified to a version of himself that saved a Russian family and wanted to Race Superman for lunch. In this version we see he has rules regarding his own use of his powers because he doesn't fully understand it yet. He has learned all of this on his own while trying to save his father. We see at the very end the raw power he has to change things in what I can only describe as a spectacular display of what this character is capable of. I can only describe the way it looks with the colors and the overall scene presentation as my favorite Comic Book Movie moment of all time.
