Zack Snyder's Justice League has been years in the making. The true vision of what was supposed to go down in 2017 has finally been released to the audiences. Aptly titled Zack Snyder's Justice League it truly is a different movie. I repeat it truly is a different movie and a significantly better one at that.

It didn't take much for Snyder to top the Justice League flop of 2017, a film that one can now only point and say is Justice League Redacted. It really was missing all the elements that make a movie. The characters. Especially these ones deserved their heart and courage and the back stories we never got. It is a much clearer film with a darker storyline that gives the team a bleaker future.

There is so much to unpack here. Literally. 4 Hours of quality content. Let's start with the hero Snyder himself called the heart of the film. Cyborg. Victor Stone. Played by Ray Fisher. We were told he was significantly cut and Ray's ongoing fight. We were promised he was the he of the film and boy did we get that and more. Fisher truly delivered with emotion and struggle that came with acceptance and loss and grief. All it real and on display. Fisher deserves this and he better be back as Cyborg. How can they turn their back on that?

Now let's move onto my favorite hero. The Flash. Barry Allen. He was much more rounded and fleshed out. The small details are what matters for Barry. The shoes coming off his feet when he ran to save Iris. The small subtle touch he needs to push things. Yoga to calm his nerves. Guiding Iris through the fall with a gentle touch afraid to hurt her in what was already a delicate situation. The drive to clear his father and the struggle with needing to be accepted by others. None of that really made it into the the 2017 version. All of that made it into the Snyder Cut.

Aquaman felt more rounded too with his defiance to believe in his true self as King of the Seas and as a member of the Justice League team. Momoa is badass and I have always believed in him. Mera was written better by Chris Terrio and Zack Snyder than she was in the Aquaman solo film.

Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman were given better arcs as well. Bruce was the one who believed in the team while still being tactical and smart as the leader. Diana after the events of Batman v Superman was finding her way back to humanity knowing she was one of the final defenders left between Earth and Darkseid. Henry Cavill is Superman. He truly has been given the most range to display and his chemistry with Amy Adams is absolutely what gives him that inner turmoil and heart.

The team has flaws and we get to see them and that humanized them despite the fact we see them as heroes. Chris Terrio and Zack Snyder knew exactly how to place each element for maximum emotional affect and to create a flow that most comic book films don't have.

Snyder's vision encompasses every aspect of a film you want to see. Heart. Courage. Action and room for more. Each character was given space to grow in future installments. A lot of them were given open ended arcs because this was supposed to have originally lead to more solo outings along with more team ups. This has to create an insatiable desire for more. Just look at the reactions if you need any further proof that this is the definitive Justice League movie.
